As soon as those words left the old man’s mouth I was looked at differently. Amusement, confused, blank and scared all those emotions at once that their eyes showed. Elena was scared of me. I would never hurt her.

“Miss Elena, wait!” I yelled after her because she turned her back on me and walked away from me but it looked like she was trying to get away from me as fast as she could, wiping away her tears. She tried to hide her trembling hands from me but I already saw how scared she was.

“Dalle tempo, Aaliyah.” (Give her time Aaliyah) The old man said.

“No, deve sapere che non le farei mai del male.” (No, she needs to know that I would never hurt her) I said looking at the old man.

Leaving the living room I walked towards the direction Elena practically ran out of wanting to get away from me. Surprisingly not one of the brothers said anything yet they just stared at me.     Foodsteps and loud chattering got closer to the kitchen. The guys were home and just in time. The oven timer went off indicating the lasagna was done.     I woke up about 30 minutes ago, if I’m sure because I don’t remember how long I laid here without opening my eyes pretending to be asleep for god knows why.
