Chapter 12

Our flight left Logan at six thirty in the morning. I was so nervous, I didn’t sleep at all. I thought I would pass out on the plane, but that didn’t happen. I hadn’t flown in over two years. The last time was when I went on vacation to Florida with Tyler and his family and that was the first time I ever left New England on a plane. So, my nervous system is in full effect.

The flight was about seven hours in total. And for all of those hours I thought about our night before. We had a direct flight, which was great. I really don’t like flying, but I knew Elliot needed support so I put my fear aside. Leaving Boston at six in the morning and arriving in San Diego at nine thirty in the morning, is a little crazy when you think about it. It was seven hours later, but really only three. It felt like going back in time.
