Chapter 50 - Awake

As soon as Tessa picked up William’s call, she exclaimed in frustration.

“Boss, you have not paid me yet. And you are calling me now to give me more work?”

Rosaline leaned in closer to hear what William said. That irritated Tessa even further.

“Don’t worry about the pay, Miss Johnson. I assure you, you won’t get short-changed.”

Tessa snorted!

William asked, ignoring her temper. “I kind of forgot about Target earlier. But I spotted her hiding close to your gate. I was wondering if everything was okay.”

“If you want to know how your official girlfriend is doing, why don’t you just call her?”

“Since you already know, why don’t you enlighten me.” William heaved a sigh, knowing they were both fine.

“If you want me to work tomorrow, hang up and let me sleep. I’m annoyed as it is.”
