I woke the next morning to a quiet room and an empty bed and shifted to look for a clock in the unfamiliar room. The alarm on the other side of the bed showed seven am, and considering Tristan’s side of the bed was cold, I expected he hadn’t managed a whole hell of a lot of sleep last night.
