Her Pov:
The party, as it's official, was held in the daytime from 12 pm to 4 pm. I was sitting tensely at 11 am, being all stressed that I didn't have anything to wear. And there was a knock. I opened the door.
" Boss sent this for you."A guy handed me over a packet and left just right after.
I opened the bag and a fucking royal wine toned gown cane out. No fucking way I am gonna wear this is way too much definition of way too much. I called Edward.
" Um, sir, I mean Edward, I can't wear this. it's too much for a cruise party. Something simple would do much better."
" It doesn't matter if it is too much I guarantee you people will be more over the top than you. So just wear it". With that, he cut off the call.
" What's this crap! "I said in frustration. But I need this job so if wearing a dress saves it I am more than happy to do it.
And within a while I put on the dress. And it's just perfect. It's so beautiful I have never worn something like this in my life.
I have a very curvy body with a height of 5 feet 6 inches. So it's difficult for me to find a dress that fits my curves and mould into it just like this one.
It almost feels like it's custom-made for me. I wore snickers anyway. Its not gonna be seen. And wear silver watch and that's it. I let my long black hair down to cover some skin at the back.
I wore makeup today to match with this outfit. I wore concealer, blush, eyeliner, mascara and a wine toned lipstick and a glimpse of highlighter. I finished my look and looked at myself in the mirror. I am looking pretty I guess. At least close to?
Oh, what's this knock at the door? I opened it and it was Edward. He looked at me and looked like he was in some sort of trance.
" Edward??"
He seemed to shake his head as if coming back to reality.
" I guess I look worse than I usually look right? I shouldn't have worn this much makeup. I guess the wine lips are not giving. Even the dress makes me look.."
I was cut off in the middle" Sshh! "He said keeping his index finger softly on my lips.
I felt a current run through my body. "You look so damn gorgeous! Unreal!"
Gasping I said " You are flattering me.
" Owh yeah?"
He held me by my shoulders and turned me to the mirror. His fingers slowly moved from my shoulder to my hand, tracing my soft skin" This milky skin of yours", his hand got back, tracing my hand to my shoulder and then to my beauty bone.
Tracing it lightly with his index and middle finger, he moved his head closer to my hair, inhaling deeply, all while his fingers moved to my neck and traced upwards to my lips.
" This sweet smell of yours.. This pouty lips of yours", he said tracing my lips lightly. While I was getting shivers all over my body. But I just couldn't move away from his hold.
And then his hand moved from my lips to my jaw and his held it lightly and moved my face away from the mirror to him locking our gazes. He looked into my eyes.
" These Amber eyes of yours so deep.. so so deep.. You are such a beauty, Lia. The fucking standard.." He said all these while looking in my eyes grabbing my jaw. I was feeling all the funny feelings. I had to stop it.
" Edward... Sir???"
He suddenly looks snapped back to reality and he lets me go.
"Come down within 15 minutes the party's gonna start yeah?" I just nodded my head and he left. I could still hear my heart beat faster than anything.
Calming myself down, I went down. Thenree were 20 -speed boats workingonogettingt the guestsonn the cruise . All vips. The ship looked so beautiful. People started coming in and I realised what Edward meant.. The women were dressing as if not for a cruise but for the Met Gala!
Even in that outfit of mine, I looked simple. A lot of young people from my age to Edward's age were also invited along with the old age guests.
There weren't a lot of workers on the cruise. Only a sufficient amount. So I had been also greeting people standing on the entrance. I saw Edward coming down in a stunning suit of navy blue. He looked like the main character. I was too busy gawking at him when a guest said, " Hey lady?"
I looked back at him and he was a young man of Edward's age I guess. Blonde hair blue eyes.
" Sorry, Welcome to the cruise, Mr?"
" It's David Scott."
"Nice to meet you, Mr David Scot," I greeted.
He stretched his hands towards me. I gave mine thinking he wanted to shake hands. But he took mine and placed a kiss on the back of my palm.
"Such a beauty you are," he says.
I felt my body having shivers, not because of the kiss but because I felt a pair of eyes piercing through my skin.
I took my hands from him and looked around only to find Edward looking at me. Even from this distance I felt like if eyes could burn someone then till now I would be a barbecue. I told Mr David to sit and greeted other guests.
While Edward was having people coming to him to greet him at his own party. After an hour all the guests was at the cruise so the event went by. But here and there I would find Edward's eyes on me. After a while, I got bored, so I went to have some wine.
I only had a sip or two and I find David come at the bar too.
" Hey beauty I almost forgot to ask your name?"
" It's Liana, Liana brown. "
" You work for Edward?" Before I could reply, I felt a hand on my shoulder, swiftly moving me away from David. I look up and find Edward. He sat beside me at a seat and looked at David all while having his hand on my shoulder.
" I didn't know you had such a beauty working for you. How much do you want ? " I looked at David in confusion.
Wtf is he saying. How much for what? He didn't even drink that much. I looked back at Edward with the same confused look. Only to see his grey eyes crazy. His face looked so calm but his eyes were crazy.
Suddenly Edward started to speak some other language to him which sounded like eastern European and his tone sounds so calm. David nods and replies something in the same language and leaves.
"What did you say to him?" I asked .
" Why did you let him kiss on your hand?" My eyes widened.
" I .. I.."
He moved his face closer to me." I hope I won't see this again, right?"
" I didn't-"
" Say yes Liana , there's no more choice I am leaving to you other than yes."
" Ughh OK whatever".
" Good girl", with that he went away. The left of the party went on smoothly.. The cruise got closer to the shore and with boats guests were sent off to the shore first. And then the employees one by one. I was also about to go to shore but Edward stopped me.
"You go with me", simple words. So I waited.
Almost everyone of the cruise went to the shore only him I and I guess a few cruise creaws who were no were to be seen. I was standing by the railing when he came from behind me and stood beside me.
The ship itself was going to the shore now with me and him in there. We just stood there looking at the sky and the sea being 2 different elements and mixing together to the infinity.
We got off the ship and he told me he would drop me off. On the way I slept by accident. When I woke up someone was tracing my hair very lightly. I tried to open my eyes and saw Edward sitting on his seat while trying to wake me up.. I got up to see I am in front of my flat.
"How did you know I live in here ?"
His eyes looked flustered for a second before he replied that he just asked about it from Gabrielle. I just nodded and was just gonna go back when he grabbed my arm and pulled me against him.
I was looking at him with confusion in my face. He slowly moved his hand from my arm to my waist and another of his hand on my jaw grabbing it firmly but not with force. He moved his face dangerously close to me and he pressed his lips against mine softly. Wait did he just kiss me!!!!
I was shocked so when he pulled away I opened my mouth to talk but then the hand on my waist moved to the back of neck within a span of second and this time the kiss wasn't soft anymore it was fierce.
He inserted his tongue in my mouth started to take every bit of my mouth including sucking my lips and my tongue.. I was having my first kiss!!!! With .. with my boss???!
When he pulled over I was as red as a tomato. So I bid him a quick goodbye and run towards the door and once I am in I close the door and lock it. Standing slamming my back on the door I put my fingers on my lips... He just kissed me!!
Her Pov:Edwardāhalf-hidden in the dim glow of the hallway, his expression unreadable, but his presence impossible to ignore. His eyes, cold and unrelenting, found mine in an instant, locking me in place as though the air between us had thickened. It didnāt matter how far apart we were or how many people moved through the space between usāwhen he looked at me like that, it was as if nothing and no one else existed. There was no warmth in his stare, only controlālike he was reminding me, without a single word, that he still held the reins. I tried to appear unaffected, to hold his gaze without flinching, but deep down, I could feel itāthat familiar pull, like an invisible chain tightening around my ribs. No matter how far I ran or how hard I tried to untangle myself, he always found a way to draw me back in.I turn away, finishing the last sip of my drink, its bitter aftertaste clinging to my tongue like the weight of everything Iām about to do. I need to breathe. I need space. Most
Her Pov:The game has already begun.I feel it in the air-heavy with unsaid threats and unshed blood. The kind of silence that precedes storms, the kind that hides sharp teeth behind glass smiles. I stand quietly, drink in hand, letting my eyes drift across the room, not to admire, but to hunt.If I want to break free of Edward, I'll need more than courage.I'll need power. And not just any power. I'll need someone who can rattle him-someone who can force the devil to look twice. Not many men have ever managed that. But I know that if I want even a sliver of control, I'll need to find the one who can stand tall in Edward's shadow and not flinch.I sip from my glass, letting the burn settle in my throat as I scan the room. And then-"Funny... I find you alone again."The voice coils behind me, smooth and deliberate. I turn with measured ease, eyes meeting Rafael Morozgov's.Of course. He leans against the bar like he belongs everywhere and nowhere at once. The kind of man who doesn't c
Her Pov:He walks away, expecting me to trail after himābut I donāt move. His game, his rules? Not anymore. He can keep thinking heās in control, but Iām done playing along. This time, Iām setting the rulesāand he wonāt see me coming.I returned to the hall, my heels echoing against the marble floor as I made my way back to the barāthe same place I stood before everything started to unravel.I order a drink, not because I need it, but because I need something to ground me. Something to keep my hands busy as I turn around and lean against the counter, my eyes sweeping over the room. The atmosphere is thickāoppressive, electric. Power hums through the air like a storm waiting to break. The people here aren't just rich or well-dressedāthey're dangerous. You can see it in their posture, feel it in their eyes.Every single one of them is the kind of person you donāt look at twice if you want to keep breathing. Their presence doesnāt just command respectāit demands fear. You donāt even nee
Her Pov:The air in the room is thick with tension, a current I canāt escape, not even as I push through the sea of bodies in pursuit of Edward. The music pounds in my ears, the bass matching the erratic rhythm of my heartbeat. I barely register the murmured conversations and clinking of glasses around me; my focus is locked onto his broad frame as he weaves effortlessly through the crowd. He knows Iām following him. And heās letting me.My heels click against the marble floor, my strides long and determined, but no matter how much I quicken my pace, he stays just out of reachātaunting me, luring me deeper into his game.Bastard.The moment he turns down a dimly lit corridor, my patience snaps. I quicken my pace, my fingers curling into fists at my sides. The moment I round the corner, I find him thereāwaiting. His back is against the wall, hands tucked into the pockets of his suit, one leg lazily crossed over the other. The golden glow of the sconces lining the corridor casts shadows
Her Pov:The world around us blurs into nothing. The music, the murmuring voices, and the glint of chandeliers overhead-all of it fades. There is only Edward, his hold on me suffocating, his presence an unshakable force.I should pull away. I should demand answers and force him to explain the weight behind his words. But I don't. Because deep down, beneath all my resistance, I know the truth. He is dangerous. And worse-I am drawn to it.Edward's fingers skim along the curve of my back, his touch featherlight yet commanding. He tilts his head, his stormy gaze burning into mine, daring me to look away first. But I won't. I refuse to.Instead, I square my shoulders and meet his challenge head-on. "What happens when I stop being relevant?"A slow, knowing smile curves his lips, but there is no warmth in it. Only a promise-a warning. "You won't."The certainty in his voice sends a shiver down my spine, but I swallow it down. He speaks as if my fate is already sealed, as if I am an inevitab
Her Pov:Alina....His past? His love? Then why am I here?If I were just a pawn, he couldāve erased me. Instead, he kept me.My eyes cut to the devil beside me.What does he want? The weight of the unspoken question lingered between us like a ghost, suffocating and unseen. My mind swirled with possibilities, and none of them settled well in my stomach.Edwardās grip on my waist tightened further, fingers pressing into my flesh as though reminding me who I belonged toāor who owned me. I wasnāt sure which was more accurate. Before I could collect my thoughts, another voiceādeep, rich, and tinged with something almost melodicācut through the thick tension.āWell, this is a surprise.āThe conversation shifted as a man stepped forward, emerging from the shadows of the gathering. He was tall, lean yet powerful, with sharp features carved in a way that seemed both regal and dangerous. Midnight-black hair fell carelessly over his forehead, a striking contrast to the ice-blue eyes that settle
