Chapter 5 Marry Me

Elisa didn't finish reading the following piece of information and dashed back to the office, much to the astonishment of Annie and the nurses.

As soon as she walked inside the office, she couldn't take it any longer, collapsing on the office chair and losing all strength.

She was 26 years old, had no partner, and did not have any impressive professional qualifications.

She was unsure of how long she would continue to work as a resident doctor.

Students with lower professional scores than her traveled abroad to study for master's and doctorate degrees as soon as they graduated from an undergraduate course, and upon returning home, they were promoted to the position of deputy chief physician in a hospital.

She began working immediately after completing her postgraduate studies in Australia, and continued to study in her leisure time.

Despite the fact that she had more clinical experience than they do and that her professional abilities were equivalent to theirs, she was simply an ordinary resident at a well-known hospital, and she could only bear it slowly all the way.

What would have happened if she had taken the quota for international travel into her own hands at that time?

Elisa reflected on it, closed her eyes, and came to a complete stop in her thinking.

There was no point in worrying about such things right at that time, anyway.

An unexpected rush of footsteps echoed around the office at that point.

"Put the work order on my desk first, and I'll sign it later," Elisa replied, her eyes closed since she was too tired to open them.

She had not heard anything being placed on her desk for a long time.

The next thing Elisa noticed was William standing in front of her, which made her a little uncomfortable.

William had his hands over his chest and a blank expression on his face as he looked at her in the fields, as if he was pondering something.

When Elisa turned her head up, William went around to her desk, shut off her computer, and then took off her white coat and threw it over the back of the chair while keeping a straight expression.

Elisa was taken aback by William's actions over a period of time. "Mr. Birch, please remember that you are in a public place, and you should behave yourself accordingly."

"I understand you are exhausted. I will take you back to your home to rest." William spoke in hushed tones.

Eliza was even more forceful, straining and pleading, "We aren't familiar with each other, so please don't take such an ambiguous action!"

"Ambiguous? Where does it become ambiguous?" He confronted Elisa with a series of questions.

William took advantage of her palpitations, seized her hand, and escorted her out of the office in the nick of time.

"It's time to let go!"

"What happens if I don't?"

Elisa had a tinge of annoyance in her heart. She was a bit angry with his behavior. William said coldly, "Don't take my courtesy for granted!"

"Don't mention it, then."

"What? "said Elisa.

Annie stared at Elisa and William with a look of astonishment on her face. "Elisa?"

That enormous gaping mouth could almost fit into a duck egg.

Elisa smoked her hand and discovered that William had no intention of letting go at any point. She said, with reluctance, "There's something wrong with Mr. Brich's son. I will take a look at it right away. You should place the work order on my desk, and I will come in and sign it the following day."

"Ooh." Annie smiled, but she kept her gaze fixed on William instead.

William did not even bother to look at Annie before rushing to the elevator and pulling Elisa with him.

The moment William boarded the elevator, Elisa shoved William's hand.

"What on earth do you want from me?"

William's slender body rests against the elevator's inside wall, and his beautiful body form and exceptional temperament are enhanced by his high-end custom-made handmade suit, which was created just for him.

Right at that moment, he seemed exceptionally sluggish and pleasant, which was uncommon for him.

Under the projection of light, his drooping eyebrows appeared to be a great picture that has been meticulously recreated, and the viewer can not detect any defects.

Even the lip line was considerably softer than it would be in other cases.

"Elisa White, marry me."

Elisa reasoned that she was too exhausted to be hallucinating.

Seeing William with a serious face and looking at him intently, she knew that what she had just heard was not an illusion.

In the end, she said "haha" with a twitch. "Can we recall a time when we were comfortable talking about marriage?"

"I really mean it."

"Oh? You are really serious about proposing to a stranger you have only met three times. "

"Who said you can't get married after seeing only three times? The right person can get a certificate when he meets them. The wrong people, who have been in love together for more than ten years, will also part ways." William said and leaned over to Elisa's face. He was very satisfied with her delicate and white skin. "I think you can accompany me for a lifetime, so I want to marry you."

Elisa's cheek was tenderly stroked by his warm breath. Along with that, there's the distinct, pleasant scent of William's clothing.

Elisa was aware of how frightening his face was without reaching out to touch him on the face.

Elisa forced herself to calm down. "Tell these words to others. I believe many women want to hear them. "

Not even a moment after finishing her sentence did the elevator door just open.

William's eyes glowed with guile as he stretched out his hand and held her in his arms, bending over Elisa's face.

Elisa looked at him with wide eyes and assumed he was about to kiss her. She hurriedly reached out her hand to prevent him, but he saw right through her.

A gentle pressure from his large hand against her little hand, with no intention of hurting her, was applied to the hand.

Two people's faces were so close that they were about to meet each other. They could kiss each other as soon as they moved.

Elisa was so anxious that she did not dare to take a breath, and she was taken aback by William's reaction.

Elisa was likewise in the gaze of William's deep black eyes, which were like the sea. Her eyes were extremely clear and translucent, and she had unusually clean skin.

Exquisite facial features, creamy white skin, and a translucent sensation were all shown by her beauty.

Every inch of her physique exuded a sense of cleanliness. There was no artificial flavor, and there was no sign of intricate carving.

It was true natural beauty that made people unable to move their eyes at all.

Both of them noticed that they were seeing their own reflections in each other's eyes.

When Elisa looked into his eyes, he felt his heart stop beating. He couldn't tell whether there was any taunting or banter going on because his eyes were closed.

The people standing outside the elevator were taken aback by what was happening inside, and they exclaimed.

Her absolute happiness returned all of a sudden, and she was embarrassed and outraged.

Elisa pulled William away when he took the initiative in releasing her and stood up straight.

"Elisa?" From outside the elevator, a shaky male voice could be heard mumbling something.

She was startled when he heard the voice, and his whole heart sank into an ice rink.

Brandon's gaze was drawn between Elisa and William as they conversed.

He finally made it to Elisa White's face, hoping to catch a glimpse of something unusual on her face. To his disappointment, he didn't see anything.

Elisa White's expression was far too serene, and he could barely discern any thoughts in her eyes.

Elisa did not look at William and Brandon at all. She quickly walked out of the elevator, took a road with few people, went to the parking lot of the hospital, and locked herself in the car.

What caused Brandon to appear in the hospital all of a sudden?

What exactly did he want?

Elisa was under the impression that the door to the driver's seat had been opened. It wass William who was standing outside the car.

Elisa stared at him strangely, as if she did not comprehend what he was saying or doing.

"Sit with the co-driver and I will drive," William replied coldly.

Elisa closed her eyes and said powerlessly, "William, you want to play games? Find someone, I can't afford to play! "

William did not waste any time with her, and he even leaned down to hold her out in front of him.

He went around to the opposite side of the car and snuggled her into the passenger's seat for the ride home.

Elisa was not sure if it was because she was too exhausted or because she was too surprised, so she decided to wait a little and let him catch his breath.

William was very satisfied with Elisa's performance. He bypassed most of the car's body, sat in the driver's seat and started the car.
