Synopsis

On her wedding day, she saw her sister and her husband rolling around in bed together, showing no remorse and being utterly brazen! Instead of crying or making a scene, she turned and left, randomly grabbing a man from among the guests to be her new groom. What was supposed to be a marriage of convenience, a simple exchange of benefits, turned into him doting on her as if she were his most precious treasure.

Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Chapter One: You Can Be with Anyone, But Not My Sister-in-Law!

Room 1808 of the M Hotel was staging a drama that you couldn't even imagine in your wildest dreams.

With less than an hour to go before the wedding, Elizabeth Forster received a text message.

"Who are you?" Elizabeth Forster, sitting in the bridal suite, had a face so pale it was frightening. She had a bad feeling earlier; the wedding was about to start, but her groom, Edwiin Kingsley, hadn't shown up yet.

"You'll know when you get here!"

No matter how many more times she asked, the other party did not reply.

"Excuse me, I need to go out for a bit," Elizabeth Forster said, standing up with her phone, blocking the makeup artist who was about to place a crown on her head.

"Miss Forster? We're just one step away from finishing..." The makeup artist stepped back in surprise.

"Hmph." Elizabeth Forster walked to the door, turning to look at everyone in the room. There were the makeup artists, bridesmaids, and the master of ceremonies, but no sign of her groom or her sister. "There's still too much missing..."

With that, she opened the door and ran out.

By the time she reached the hotel entrance, she could hear her father, Rupert Forster, shouting angrily behind her!

"The wedding is about to start. Why aren't you preparing properly? Where are you going?"

"Come back, come back right now!"

Ignoring him, Elizabeth Forster strode out of the banquet hall and headed straight for the elevator, pressing the button for the 18th floor without hesitation.

Outside Room 1808.

Even through the thick wooden door, Elizabeth Forster could clearly hear the sounds coming from inside, sounds that were unbearable to listen to.

These sounds...

Elizabeth Forster felt as if she had been struck by lightning. Her beautiful eyes filled with disbelief, and she bit her lip so hard it almost bled. Finally, she calmed down enough to take out her phone and call the hotel front desk.

"Hello, this is Elizabeth Forster. I've booked the third floor for my wedding today. My husband left something in Room 1808. Could someone help me open the door?"

"Of course, may I ask what your husband's name is?"

"Edwiin Kingsley."

Within a few minutes, a staff member arrived. "Good afternoon, Miss Forster. Room 1808 is indeed reserved under Mr. Lin's name. I will open the door for you right away."

The door opened, and Elizabeth Forster slowly walked in.

It was a suite, and the living room was a mess. Fabric was scattered everywhere—on the sofa, on the windowsill, on the carpet. The fabric looked so familiar!

Her soon-to-be husband, Edwiin Kingsley, and her younger sister were entangled together. What a spectacle it was.

Elizabeth Forster's face turned even paler, and she pushed the half-closed door open with a sudden force.

She saw the two people on the bed at a glance.

They hastily grabbed the blanket to cover themselves, their coordination seamless.

Elizabeth Forster took out her phone and quickly snapped a few photos while they were still in shock.

Before leaving, she coldly said, "Get dressed. I'll be waiting outside."

Not long after, Edwiin Kingsley and Cherry Forster emerged, wearing bathrobes that looked like matching couples' outfits, which was particularly jarring to Elizabeth Forster.

"Joannance you've seen everything, there's no point in saying more. What do you want to do now?" Edwiin Kingsley sat down on the sofa, nonchalantly placing his legs on the coffee table, showing no remorse for being caught.

This marriage, arranged by their elders, was one where Elizabeth Forster knew Edwiin Kingsley didn't love her, and she didn't love him much either. But he could cheat with anyone, just not her sister! Being with her sister was a blatant insult to her!

"The wedding hasn't started yet. I can give you a chance to explain."

As soon as Elizabeth Forster finished speaking, Edwiin Kingsley burst into laughter, as if he had heard the funniest joke in the world. "I already told you, I'm with Cherry Forster. Do whatever you want!"

Elizabeth Forster turned to her silent sister, Cherry Forster. "Do you really love him?"

Cherry Forster lowered her eyes, her face as pale as paper.

"No, I... I just wanted to talk to him. I've been with him all along, but why did he suddenly pursue you so passionately after you came back? I didn't expect... I didn't expect..."

The room echoed with Cherry Forster's soft sobs.

"I will go and explain everything to Grandfather. Our wedding is canceled. From today, you are free." Elizabeth Forster left these words, then turned and walked out briskly.

Behind her, Edwiin Kingsley's mocking voice floated in. "Hahaha, what kind of daydream are you having! Even if my grandfather agrees, your father won't!"

In the reception hall, the room was filled with distinguished guests. Today, the Su and Lin families of N City were to be united.

Elizabeth Forster, in her white wedding dress, burst into the room, her calm face filled with unprecedented determination.

"Dad, Grandfather, I don't want to marry Edwiin Kingsley anymore. Let's cancel the wedding today."
