After clearing my head by walking aimlessly for a few hours, I finally decided to go back to the palace. I was already exhausted. I needed time to deal with everything. I decided not to stop by my father's chambers, as I knew well that he would be trying to convince me to let Noah mark me. I didn't want that. I didn't care about anything, not even that damn kingdom that didn't protect me when I needed protection from them. Why was I supposed to sacrifice when they needed it from me? They didn't do anything for me.

They had their pants on but their upper bodies were naked. “What are you both doing?” I growled at them both. I couldn't say if they were under any of Celeste's sick spells.
