She Loves To Disobey

I could hear Autumn talking on the phone, and my curiosity and jealousy increased.

Was she telling her boyfriend about the kiss we just had?

No, she wouldn’t be stupid to say that.

Was she expressing her undying love to him after melting under my touch?

I wanted to hear badly, but her words weren’t clear enough, so I couldn’t really make out the words that she was saying. My eagerness to hear, which was even unlike me; never have I ever eavesdropped on a woman’s conversation before.

I wondered what Dominic would say of this should he catch me in this act.

Anyway, I pinned my ears closer, unknown to me that Autumn did not lock her door, so the force with which I pressed my ear to the door just so that I could hear her caused the door to open, and I almost fell into her room.

Thankfully, I was able to keep myself from falling after staggering into the room. I would have been more embarrassed than I already was if I had landed flat on my face.
