Chapter 4: Each Plays Their Own Game

Since the intention was to comfort her, it would be more genuine to do so in person.

Vivien Eipstein, wearing high heels, returned home alone.

Upon seeing her return by herself, the expressions on the faces of her parents instantly turned mocking. "You've just gotten married, and your husband is already cuddling with another woman. Aren't you ashamed as a wife?"

"It's fine. There are plenty of people with thick skin. Someone even had an affair with my sister's fiancé in her bridal chamber. I have more than one video stored on my phone, and yet, they're still sitting here unbothered."

Her words were like knives, and Hannah Eipstein's face immediately turned pale. "Sister, you really misunderstood. Mingyuan and I aren't that kind of relationship..."

"Really? After sharing the bed so many times, you still claim there's nothing between you?" Vivien Eipstein interrupted with a laugh. "Then you must be quite open-minded. Haha, I can't compete with that!"

Each insult hit Vivien Eipstein's numb heart, but she remained unperturbed, smiling coldly. "Exactly, the upper beam isn't straight, so the lower one can't be either. The two people who gave birth to me have bad genes. If you truly hate me, you should go and kill yourselves."

With that, she turned and slowly walked out of the Eipstein family's door, ignoring the curses from her parents. She got into her car, and only then did her shoulders sag.

When Vivien Eipstein first met him, she thought he was decent-looking, but after meeting the breathtakingly handsome Herbert Grantham, she found Raymond Grantham utterly ugly.

Hearing Vivien Eipstein describe him as "delicacies," he smirked and was about to step forward when a loud slap echoed through the music.

Vivien Eipstein's expression didn't change; she simply blew on her reddened palm. "Sobered up? Be careful, showing disrespect to your elders can bring divine retribution!"

Raymond Grantham, covering his face, gritted his teeth, feeling both indignant and resigned.

It seemed... it was indeed true!

Even Herbert Grantham was taken aback, but a broader smile spread across his face.

"Brother Zhe, your wife is something else. She's clearly not someone to mess with. Looks like you should avoid provoking her, or you might end up like Raymond Grantham, getting slapped by a woman!"

Herbert Grantham, keeping a poker face, let his gaze travel from Vivien Eipstein's ankles up her body.

Her long, straight legs, encased in a tight dress, accentuated her perfect, graceful figure.

His Adam's apple bobbed up and down.

"No problem, if she hits me, I'll hit back..."

"Huh?"

"She would only beg for more." With that ambiguous statement, he strode towards Vivien Eipstein.
