Bryan walked past the hotel receptionist, who greeted him with a warm smile as he headed to the elevator. Amy kept staring at her phone, waiting for his call. She has been doing that for over a week now. Since Bryan left for Italy, Amy has spoken to him only once. He had called to check on her and to let her know that he’ll be really busy, so he won’t be answering any calls. Although she was sad to hear that, she tried to be understanding. He had promised to call when he comes back from his business trip, but it’s been almost a week since he got back and she is yet to hear a word from him.Amy is beginning to lose her patience. Amy was staring intensely at Bryan. She didn’t know what to think anymore. At first, she was worried that Bryan was sick or maybe having some issues with his company, but seeing him in his office looking not as busy as he claimed, she became filled with anger. Why would Bryan do this to her? He didn’t bother to call her in almost a week and he’s okay with it? Did she upset him? Was she being too clingy? After they had dinner, Amy wanted to spend more time with Bryan since they haven’t done that in a while, so she suggested that they watch a movie together, which Bryan didn’t object to. The next morning, Amy decided to finally talk to Kyle, whom she has been avoiding for a while now. She gave him a call, and asked him to meet her at a café. Although, Kyle was surprised to receive a call from Amy after more than two weeks of hearing nothing from her, he agreed to meet with her because he was anxious to talk to her.Thirty minutes after the call, Amy and Kyle were seated in the café not quite far from their homes.
