Sara stared at the clouds they were floating above. It was always mesmerising for her......Being in air and away from the world was always mesmerising. She was feeling anxious. What could Grandfather Magnus possibly want from her?“ Are you still not going to talk to me? ” Silas's voice pulled her out of her thoughts and she slowly moved her head to spare him a glance. He was sitting right in front of her with his face supported by his hand. He seemed bored out of his mind.Good, Sara thought. He deserved this after what he said last night. She was just trying to be good to him and he ruined it all by being an ungrateful bitch.Ignoring his puppy eyes, Sara looked back at the fluffy clouds. He had apologized last night, thinking that she was sleeping but she couldn't sleep after what happened between them. She was busy gazing at Grandfather Magnus emotionlessly. Her hands curled by her side as she gulped. “ You made her do this but it was all for our family business afterall. So what are you going to do now Grandfather? ” Sara's words took a 180 turn surprising everyone including Silas and her father. Silas's heartbeat picked it's speed as he realized the same thing once again... There was nothing good left in Sara anymore. Her soul had rotten away because of Vengeance. Grandfather Magnus didn't say anything. He just sat on his grand chair and stared at his young grandchild - the only one without a mother in their family. In Grandfather Magnus's eyes, Sara was fierce and manipulative. She never said what she was thinking or feeling. Every word which fell out of her mouth was cruel and twisted. She
AUTHOR'S POV The sound of Grandmother Eloise's hand coming in contact with Silas's cheek rang through the dead silent living room. Sara's eyes went wide in horror and another emotion which she instantly recognized as Anger. Silas's face had turned to one side due to the strong impact. He was not moving or saying anything as Sara found herself unable to look away from him. “ DON'T FORGET YOUR PLACE AGAIN OR I WILL TEACH YOU A LESSON. YOU LIVE ON OUR MONEY. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT, YOU USELESS PRICK! ” Grandmother Eloise had shrieked out in her shrill voice. Sara stepped forth in a trance but then stopped before curling her hands into fists. AUTHOR'S POV “ Silas. ” Sara got up from the couch and walked toward him but he didn't stop. Silas didn't even spare her a glance and moved past her to go to his room. He was hurt. He was not hurt because Grandmother Eloise had humiliated him in front of everyone. He was not hurt because she had hurt his ego. He was hurt because there was nothing in Sara's eyes when he turned around to look at her. The most painful moment in your life comes when you realize that no matter how much you love someone, no matter what you do for them, no matter what you endure for him, no matter if you even sacrifice your life for them... They are never going to love you back. Silas had realized this today. No matter what he did for her, she was never going to love him back. It was not her fault though. AUTHOR'S POV “ Who is this Grandfather and where is this home, Silas? ” Sara questioned truthfully instead of pretending to not know anything. She could investigate about it but she wanted to hear about it from Silas. Silas looked at her for longer than a moment. For once, he thought about telling her the truth like Grandfather Albert had suggested. “ Do you tell me everything? ” Silas counter questioned Sara who pursed her lips realizing that he wouldn't tell her anything. It was plausible though. She was not telling him anything about herself so he was not ready to tell her anything about himself. “ Don't tell me. I am not interested anymore. ” Sara knew she was lying and Silas too knew she was lying about this not interested part. The curiosity was clearly burning in her eyes and the need to get an answer out of him was stronger than ever but Sara d
AUTHOR'S POV Sara's eyes went wide as Silas's left hand made it's way behind her neck to pull her head closer and his right hand went down to pull her closer by her waist. He nibbled on her bottom lip, before dragging his warm and soft tongue over it to soothe the ache. Sara sighed against his lips as Silas kissed her softly and deeply. After a moment, he pulled away and rested his forehead against hers. He watched her red face after opening his eyes and brought his left hand up to brush her hair off her face. “ Now, we are even. ” He breathed out, his heart beating fast in his chest just like Sara's. Blinking her eyes open, Sara looked up and her nose touched his, making her gulp. “ Why do you always do... do this? ” Sara whispered out, confusion taking over her mind as her lips tingled slightly. “ Do what? ” Silas pushed her hair behind her ear,
AUTHOR'S POV “ What will become of us? ” Sara asked and turned to face him, her finding their way to his light brown orbs. “ I don't know. ” Silas breathed out, his heart skipping a beat at the unexpected question. Sara scrunched up her nose, her eyes narrowing down to glare at him. “ You should have known. ” A pout rested on her lips after she sighed dramatically and closed her eyes to probably find the answer in her heart. “ Of course. I should have known. ” Silas muttered to himself and turned over, his eyes fixed at the dark ceiling now. “ This is so frustrating. ” Sara opened her eyes after a while and stated before copying Silas and turning over to let her back sink in the soft mattress. “ It is. ” Silas agreed quietly and smiled to himself. A while ago, he felt so angry at Sara, at himself but all of it was gone now. The thought that Sara might be thinking about their relationship finally was eno
