***Hyacinth***
I felt like a doll being dressed up by Irene and the driver drove me to wherever appointment I had. Irene said that there’s a personal shopper that I am meeting. I never shop luxuriously for myself. And I remember that Rosie doesn’t have a personal shopper herself. She likes doing it all by herself. There were two personal shoppers. The first thing they did was a color test on my skin. They placed different types of cloth under my neck and they decided on what kind of dresses I should wear.
But what shocked me was meeting a known Dermatologist across the country. She’s not just a dermatologist but a nutritionist as well. It’s hard to secure a schedule with her and Rosie tried hard to get it. But it seems that I just received a free pass.
“Mrs. Reeves,” She shook my hand as I gaped at her stunning features. “I’m Doctor Madison.”
She had beautiful, flawless glowy skin.
“Pleasure to meet you, Doctor Madison. Please call me Hyacinth.” I said softly as Doctor Madison grinned.
“But it seemed that Raven wanted us to call you by that surname. He’s excited to call you that.” It made me puzzled as to why. Did Raven set this up to make me think that he wants me? I scoffed at the idea. Raven and I were childhood friends.” She led me to a room. A private room where the staff seemed to be ready for whatever I would receive.
For days of my vacation leave from work. I have been out with all of the appointments that Raven set up for me. It was tiring and I only saw him at night after dinner and while I was sleeping. His warm body eloped to mine and owned me. Every day, when I woke up, I would have a freshly picked flower next to me and a small piece of jewelry. I would wear it before I leave the mansion for shopping.
Every day, in two weeks, I would leave just to buy things I didn’t really need. I was bored. I was a fool. It’s hard not to fall back on someone whom I had loved truly.

I set up office clothes to wear to the office. I will surely look beautiful and gorgeous with new expensive clothes. I used to just check the price tag and not buy it. But since Raven insisted on spending his money, I will gladly do so. He uses me almost every night and it’s just fair. But thinking of the word ‘uses’ wasn’t really fair. I also use him for sex. It was good like before.
“Where are you going?” He asked. I didn’t realize that he hadn't left yet as he stood behind me.
“Work.”
“Oh,” He tilted his head. “Don’t you want to work in the company?”
“No. It was already named Rosie. She’ll probably throw a fit if she finds out I work there. Besides, I don’t want to be her target.”
“Hmm, seeing an adult throwing a fit was indeed hilarious.” He sighed as he reached my waist. I frowned when he pressed his crotch at my back. I heard high heels and it perfectly directed to where my bum was.
“Stop.” I pushed him because I knew that I would give in. My body doesn’t really listen to me when it comes to him.
“Wear something beautiful tonight. We are off clubbing. You also haven’t formally met my friends.” He nibbled my earlobe as my body melted to him. I noticed that he took out a box and showed it to me. “Diamonds and gemstones. I know that you don’t like diamonds.” He kissed her cheeks and removed the gold band from my ring finger as he slid another ring… a white gold probably and he slid back the gold band on the same finger. I gaped at how beautiful it was.
“My sister is back,” I said. I don’t want us to fuck while I’m in my nice clothes. “I received a message from her.” He didn’t stop kissing my neck or my earlobe.
“Hmm?” He only hummed as he held her hand up to admire the ring. The diamond was in the middle with various gemstones around it. “Don’t you like it?”
“Huh?” I was momentarily lost.
“The ring?”
I stared at it. It was breathtaking. I don’t like diamonds but the ring was indeed breathtaking.
“It’s beautiful.”
“Hmm, not as beautiful as the first one that I made.” He said as he went through my closet. “You have party clothes, wear them. I’ll meet you at the bar later. For now, I have to go back to the office.”
“How about lunch?” I bit my lip, a little embarrassed. I shouldn’t ask.
“I have a lunch meeting, I’m sorry.” He approached me and kissed my lips. I shouldn’t be shocked but I still blush and fall. “Alright, call me if there’s anything going on, and be there at eight.” I gasped when he squeezed my butt. I instantly smacked him hard with a frown. He chuckled and kissed his lips as he left the showroom.
I exhaled softly and looked down at the diamond surrounded by five different gemstones as petals. I wonder… he mentioned that he made one. Did he also make this? I know that his father owns a jewelry company known around the world. I heard that he also ventures out and saves their company before his father passes. Now, he’s saving my father’s company despite Rosie's spending.
I didn’t see him off to work, but I watched from the balcony as he hopped in the backseat of the car that he usually brought to work. Not too flashy, just a normal Ford Sedan. But the car that my driver used was more expensive and luxurious than the one that he used. She wondered why he showered me with these things.

At five in the afternoon, I had a little fruit as my snack and I arrived home earlier than I expected. Irene helped me with make-up, hair, and clothes. She made sure that I wore something elegantly but not too flashy for clubbing. She put a fine coat over my shoulder. I hopped into a new white car.
“Are we using this tonight?” I looked at the fine leather upon Mr. Gibson opened it. The car smells good and I know that this car is one of the luxury ones.
“Yes, madam.” Mr. Gibson, the driver that was assigned to me, answered. I felt odd with the way he called me.
I hopped in and sat down comfortably. It was an hour's drive because of the traffic. Upon reaching the club, Mr. Gibson dropped me off but he told me to stay as he came out and opened the door for me. Then I went to the door and a hostess escorted me to the VIP area.
In a round table and round sofa what caught me was Rosie, in a hot fitted mini-dress that shows her beautiful curves. Her chest almost popped out and she was bent down toward a familiar man. That familiar man was my husband who was casually leaning on the sofa.
I exhaled softly trying not to remember it. But I indeed remember it vividly. He was on top of her back in his bedroom. He promised to only love me. I was a fool to give all of my love to him. I gave everything I had. He protected me from bullies and even from my father making me think that he loves me.
Rosie was so close to his face and everyone would think that they were together. He didn’t even push her away.
Raven turned his head at me as our eyes met. He didn’t stand quickly to approach me. What hurt me more was when Rosie, my own sister, reached my husband’s face to make him look at her.
I was stuck on that floor, my hands were cold… my heart was tearing slowly and painfully.
–Raven–I don't even know how we got here. One moment, everything was fine—and the next, we were rushing Hyacinth to the hospital. Dr. Green was there, along with a team of doctors. I slumped into a corner in the waiting area, numb, as time dragged endlessly on. I didn’t even register that my friends had arrived. When Dr. Green finally approached, her expression was tight but reassuring.“Raven,” she said softly, “don’t worry. Hyacinth and the baby are both safe.”A wave of relief crashed over me, but it was fleeting.“She’ll need strict bed rest,” the doctor continued. “No stress. And she has to stay here for several days until her condition stabilizes.”Her voice started to blur, the words running together like water over glass. My brain couldn't keep up. My thoughts were a blank haze.I wanted—no, needed—to be with my wife. But I had to wash up, change out of my blood-stained clothes before entering her room. When I finally did, I found Mom gently wiping Hyacinth’s face with a warm
–Hyacinth–Dr. Green ran a series of tests. Bloodwork came first—and it confirmed what I feared.I’m pregnant. My hand drifted to my stomach, instinctively. Butterflies fluttered inside me, but they weren’t from the baby. They were nerves, anxiety. Dread. How am I supposed to tell Raven? At least now that my best friend knows why I disappeared three months back in junior high, I feel like I’m not alone. I have someone to lean on—besides Mom. Maybe I can do this."Let’s check on your baby,” Dr. Green said gently, preparing the ultrasound. She sounded excited. “I’m glad you were both blessed so quickly. I suppose you’ve been... sleeping well.”I pressed my lips together and avoided her eyes.“Raven quit smoking right away,” Darcy added, trying to lighten the mood.I lifted my shirt as Dr. Green applied the cold gel to my belly. A chill shot through me. She moved the probe across my skin and pointed to the monitor.“There’s your baby,” she said softly. “That little blip—that’s it. Health
–Hyacinth–Home was the only place I ever truly felt safe. After everything, that safety was precious. I slipped into a warm bath with Raven by my side, letting the water soothe my aching limbs. We didn’t speak much—just quiet touches, the kind that said more than words. Afterward, I dried my hair, pulled on my robe, and crawled into bed like gravity had doubled. I was exhausted. Bone-deep, soul-deep tired.Raven hovered, worried. He told me I needed to get checked out. I brushed him off. I didn’t want doctors or tests or fluorescent lights poking into something I didn’t want to name. I just wanted to sleep. And silence. But when morning came, the heaviness hadn’t gone away. It had gotten worse. My stomach lurched the moment I opened my eyes. I barely made it to the bathroom before I was hunched over the sink, heaving up bile and water. My hands trembled as I gripped the porcelain.“Hya!” Raven rushed in, grabbing hold of me, his voice tight with fear. “What’s happening to you?”“I’m
–Raven–The Hekkinens. Of course they adore Hyacinth. She’s rich, accomplished, and her mother is practically a legend in the business world. The way old Aada Hekkinen embraced Hyacinth was almost reverent—like she was welcoming her own granddaughter home. I couldn’t tell if it was genuine or just for show. Probably both. She complimented Hyacinth’s engagement ring again—the same one I designed from scratch. Not exactly traditional. It wasn’t flashy or aristocratic, just a ring born out of pure fantasy. I made it for my wife. I knew Aada wanted to say something more about it—maybe she thought it lacked elegance—but she held back.“Meet my mother-in-law,” Hyacinth said, gesturing to Mom.“Darcy, is it?” Aada asked, her tone polite but calculated.“Yes, the one and only.” They shared a quick cheek-to-cheek greeting.“My Eino speaks very highly of you. I’m so grateful you welcomed my grandson into your home in the Philippines,” Aada added warmly.“My children’s friends are like my own ch
–Hyacinth–Raven stayed awake the whole night, his presence a restless weight in the room. I tried so hard to sleep, but my body wouldn't listen. I didn’t leave the hotel either — I couldn’t.Raven and Mom had made it clear. I wasn’t to give in to the stalker's demands. This would be our chance to finally catch him.But as I lay there, staring into the dark, a cold realization settled in my chest. He wouldn’t come alone. He would send a stand-in."From now on, don't accept any more of his letters, alright?" Raven's voice broke the silence.I stayed quiet. There was something about the way he spoke — so commanding, so final — that made my heart twist. I hated the tone, hated feeling like a child being told what to do. But deep down, I knew it came from fear. He didn’t want to lose me.I knew that."Bud," Raven murmured as he reached for my face, tilting it up so I couldn’t avoid him. His touch was gentle, but there was urgency behind it. "Bud, are you listening to me?"He smoothed my h
–Hyacinth–I planned it to be in Switzerland. Patricia always wanted to go there. So we made it. Raven and I decided to let them go wherever they want. While he and I stayed in our hotel room to make love. I promised him. That we would go crazy in bed once he’s fully recovered. It’s still his birthday week. Besides, my husband is all that matters now. I may not be able to give him children but this one happiness… maybe it’ll fill up his wants. “I am loving your body, right now.” He said while admiring me on a fitted dress that I put on for our afternoon walk. We’ll be meeting them in the restaurant that they found a few blocks from our hotel. “Really? I think I am fatter than before.” I approached her as he caressed my curves. “Oh, these… mama mia!” He grinned. I laughed and pushed his hair forward. “Let’s go. I want to eat and also enjoy this place.” “Okay, okay.” He bounced his head. “I don’t want my wife to get hungry. Hungry wife, disaster life.” He said as playfully as I sma
