Their first meeting

"Bella? Where are you? I heard about what happened back in the company. Are you alright?" Bella's best friend Amelia asked Bella worriedly. They are classmates in college and also collegues in the A and F company where they both interned together, but in different departments. They became good friends. Now they are best friends who knows each others secrets to a 'T'.

"I am fine. I came to clear my head" Bella tried to assure Amelia, but the tigtness in her voice gave away the fact that she was crying.

"Babe, are you crying?" Amelia asked sadly.

That made Bella to cry again.

"No, i am drinking my sorrow away. Why can't he understand how much i like him? I have been trying to please him for so many years, but its as i am never enough. And today he completely ignored my attempt to explain and assumed that i am lying. Ten years, he knows me for ten years, but i feel like he doesn't know anything about me at all" Bella spoke her pain over her tears.

Amelia felt sad for Bella. She always knows that Bella desrves some one better.

"Babe, where r u? I will come and pick you up" she offered softly.

Bella sniffed before replying.

"No, i want to be alone right now. I will go back on my own" she replied before disconnecting the call.

Bella raised her hand to flag the bar attender for another drink. But her gaze landed on someone who seemed familiar from her vantage point. She can see his side profile from where she was sitting.

"Aiden?" she whispered.

He is walking more confidently and his dressing style is different as well. He has this intimting air around that is wrapped aroud him like a cloak, If she was crushing on her step brother's boy next door kind of a charm, this version of him made her heart flutter before skipping a beat.

Before she could drawl a little more, she remebered everything that happened that morning and how he treated her. She became bitter and angry. She decided to follow after him and confront him. She is a little tipsy, so she didn't think twice before marching a little unsteadily in the direction that man went whom she misunderstood as Aiden.

"Pakhan, please forgive me. I will not repeat this again" the man near Kai Deluca's feet begged. Kai looked at him coldly.

"Pakhan, we have recovered the money he stole from us" Nikolas, Kai's second hand man and the person who is close like a friend spoke up. There is an edge of stifness in Nikolas's tone. The edge that came with fear and respect for his Pakhan. The same edge can be heard in everyone's voice when spoken in presence of Kai. That's because Kai proved to be dangerous when triffled with, and earned the name 'DEVIL' with his deeds. He rules the mafia world under this fear.

"Hmmm" Kai nodded. Nikolas understood immeditely. Even the man near his feet understood what that meant. Kai is cold and lack mercy. He is not known to be forgiving.

"NO, Pakhan, please spare my life" the man started begging. But Kai turned away and left the sound proof room followed by the sharp sound of a gun fire, leaving dead bodies in his wake.

"What are you plans now" Kai's uncle, Christian joined him after Kai walked out of the room.

Before Kai could reply, a very beautiful but a drunk girl landed a soft feather lite slap across his face, making everyone freeze in shock. Her slap was like a caress, even though she intended to hurt him. She is tipsy and couldn't muster enough force to slap harder.

Christian was stunned. A pin drop silence descended upon them, which Bella was oblivious to.

"How dare you Aiden? You slapped me infront of so many people, and that too with out my mistake?" Bella demanded angrily. Her eyes are blurry and the dim lighting didn't help her case either.

Kai was so furious, that he immedietly pulled out his gun to shoot her. He aimed his gun at her forehead, but Bella pushed the gun aside and grabbed him by his suite lappels before pulling him down to her height. Before Kai could react, Bella was kissing him. He kissed countless woman before, and Bella's kiss was not the best among them. She moved her lips clumsily over his, showing her inexperience. He could taste alcohol on her lips, along with something sweet and unique. When her taste hit his senses, something stirred inside him, making his member hard and aching.

"What the hell" he muttered and pushed her aside. He is so angry that he wanted to snap her pretty little neck in to two. And he grabbed her neck to do just that. But then, her tear filled gaze met his furious ones.

"I like you. I like you so much. What more can I do to show you that?" she whispered sadly. He could see that she meant every single word. The sadness and the vulnerability in her gaze made him feel sorry for her, which was a first. It might be because he whispered similar words to his mother before her death. Her soft confession softened his attitude towards her. He let go of her neck, which Surprised everyone.

He is confused by his reaction for her novice kiss and silly proposal. That's when he noticed the guns of his men aiming at the girl who is now crying. Her full lips are twisted into a pout, twisting his attention and desire with that pout.

He waved his hand, motioning his men to leave. He can see that she is drunk.

"Leave before I change my mind and kill you" he muttered angrily before side stepping her with every intention to leave. But she grabbed his hand and tugged it softly. Her pout still intact.

"Please, don't leave me. I didn't do anything to Grace. She was lying. Aiden, don't treat me like that, please" she begged and sniffed.

Christian was looking at his Nephew with interest, while everyone were waiting for Kai to kill Bella.

Kai had enough. He pulled Bella closer by grabbing a fistful of her dress.

"Look closely. I am Kai Deluca. Do you have a death wish?" he snapped at her.
