Chapter 2: An Emotional Collision
Aaron sits looking at his parents. Since the moment he has entered he felt an unseen tension building in the air. His hand still when his mother speak. The drumming in his ears at first made that he didn’t hear what she said.
“Are you listening to me son?” she asked openly annoyed.
“Excuse me?”
“I invited a few potential girls over for you to choose.” His mother said now looking pleased with herself.
“What for Mom?” he was openly puzzled.
“You need a date. The fund-raising is very important to me.”
“I am not going to attend Mom. I already told you.”
“Aaron, you agreed to be one of the eligible bachelors for the night.” The rise in panic in her voice makes the anger boil within him.
“Who the hell arranged this on my behalf mother?” his temper was building.
“Grace said you agreed.”
“I had enough of that woman and her meddling.” Aaron reached for his phone. He punched in a number now listening as the phone start to ring. As he sits there the knowledge sizzles throughout him that he doesn’t trust his family.
“Hello Benji Bloom Consulting Services.” Benji suppresses an instinctive giggle.
“Morning, my name is Aaron Casey. I am looking for an efficient personal assistant.”
“I have one available but a warning, she is in a league of her own.” Benji look at Annie about to wake up.
“When can she start?”
“Ten minutes depending on where your office is.”
“Crown Towers, I am already heading to my office.” Aaron disconnects the call.
“What was that all about?” Annie slowly stood from her chair.
“You are hired. Come on.” Benji grabbed hold of her. Annie has barely registrar what was happening when she found herself being bundled into a car.
“Are you trying to kill me Benji?” she screamed.
“No, fate called. We are answering.”
“Barnard stop here,”
Aaron waits until the vehicle stops getting out before his driver could open the backdoor. The tension keeps building within him. It feels like his chest would explode. About to cross the road a red sportscar flew directly towards him. The first thing he noticed was flame red brownish hair waving in the wind. A sudden droplet of water landed on his head. It took only a few seconds to realize a quick thunderstorm was about to drop onto his head.
In slow motion he watched the car stop and the driver leaning over to pushed the woman with the flame red hair out of the car. Her throws a briefcase after her. “Good luck,”
Aaron watched the woman dressed in yellow gypsy pants and frilly black shirt getting onto her feet. Whatever was in her hand she lifts and throw. She actually managed to hit the driver in the red sportscar right behind the head. As he watched the spectacle laughter was building within his chest bursting out.
“What’s so funny?” Annie whirl around blasting him with the question. The next moment her world spins out of control.
“Hey-hey,” Aaron moved quickly catching her before she hit the ground again. The sudden electrical current rushing through them both. He holds her so firmly before either realized they were kissing, laughter mingling between them.
Annie feels her world coming together as one. The knowledge of against all logic she knew he belongs in her heart. This idiotic act from Benji just changed the course of her life. The rushing of love catching her unaware. The heart is a wonder…
“Who are you?” Aaron asked. He found her enticing, intriguing, watching as his question makes the tears stream down her face.
“Who are you?” Aaron instinctively reached out to softly brushes the tears from her face. He has this unbelievable urge to protect this woman. He instinctively senses her vulnerability. He never thought himself an emotional man but, in all honesty, he can feel his soul searching for hers. He actually senses how they together appear and disappear within each other.
“Please, tell me your name?” he asked as he watch her close her painfilled eyes. He felt like wrapping her in his arms to take away the obvious pain. He watched her opened her eyes and carefully step away from him.
“I am sorry sir,” she said in a whispered voice as obvious shudders briefly shook her body.
“Let’s go inside. We are drawing a crowd.” His hand took hold of her arm in a firm yet protective hold. He briefly nods at Barnard who hastily took hold of her briefcase. He follows.
Annie was fighting for control over her body. It took all her strength not to react to the touch of her husband. Her heart was screaming for answers but the moment he asked who she was, that question has tumbled her into a whirlpool of questions.
“Are you okay?” Aaron senses the extreme bottled tension within her body. He carefully helped her into his private elevator. The moment the doors closed her turned her to face him. He carefully lifts her head forcing her to look into his eyes.
“I am asking again, are you okay? Who was that crazy fool who pushed you out of his vehicle?” he asked softly and without realizing his rather intimate action as he brushed a stray lock of hair from her face carefully wrapping it around her left ear.
“I am fine,” she managed to answer a bit breathless. Her eyes search his for answers but all she can see clearly was that he has no clue as to who she was.
“Are you sure? You weren’t hurt when you landed on the pavement?” his intently serious eyes search her body. He now bends his tall frame about to kneel in front of her.
“Are you crazy, sir?” Annie has the shock realization he was literally about to inspect her knees. His hands were already brushing both her pant-legs upwards.
Annie braced herself within the elevator as she was about to buckled beneath his roaming touch. The ding of the elevator about to opened makes her grasp his jacket. “Get up fool,” she hisses as heat start to flash across her too pale skin.
“Aaron, what’s the meaning of this?” The furiously shocked woman’s voice doused Annie’s heat drastically.

He carefully captures her tear.“Tell me his name,” Aaron looks down at the trap young woman between his fingers; his eyes dark and the feelings of cruelty singing in his heart. All he feels now was hatred and fury forcing him to forget the taste of her kisses or the delicious nectar from her body.“You better give me a name Annie Saint-Claire,” he lessens his grip around her neck. He coldly watches her trying to catch her breath. “I am going to kill you if you don’t give me a name, “he talks right in her face.“Aar…Aaron,” she said hoarsely.“I am not the father,”“You are,” she whispers.“I think you need to know who I am,” his hand slipped behind his back removing the silver dagger. “Maybe if you bleed y
