Sienna's POV

“Yes! It’s sturdy!" He knocked on the block with pride.

The tower shook a bit. I naturally stopped breathing.

Noah did well.

We stayed.

It kept standing.

Noah let out a breath of relief then chose to place a red square at the peak. "That’s the flag!”

I stared at him in admiration. "Wow how romantic. A castle flying a flag. The king residing there must feel very proud.”

Noah scowled. "This doesn’t look like a fortress.”

I narrowed my eyes. "So who does this castle belong to?”

He raised his head as though the solution was the thing imaginable. "Mommy’s castle.”

My heart quickly softened, dissolving like ice, beneath the sun.

“Mommy’s fortress, huh?" My tone nearly quivered.

“Noah wishes for Mommy to become a queen," he went o

Sienna's POV I settled in, inhaled deeply and whispered gently.“Liliana, I encountered Emily during the publisher meeting.”Liliana’s eyes grew large exactly as I had anticipated. "What? Sienna, do you really mean that?”I agreed silently gazing at the cup before me.“She mentioned she is not going to abandon Liam.”Liliana grasped my hand, her tone gentle and comforting just, as usual.“Then allow me to be your support today. This burden is far too great for you to handle by yourself.”I gazed at Liliana’s fingers entwined with mine. The heat of her grasp was soothing, making me understand that since leaving the publisher’s office I had been caught in a tempest of feelings I couldn’t untangle on my own. Not because of Emily. Not because of Liam.. Because of the person I had become who now found himself in a situation I had never thought I’d achieve.I breathed out

Sienna's POVThe moment the doors of the publisher building shut behind me I released a sigh I’d been keeping inside since earlier. It seemed like all my energy had been sapped during that meeting not due to the conversation itself but because Emily’s unexpected arrival stirred up old feelings I hadn’t anticipated.I climbed into my car. Settled into the seat. I rested my head against the backrest, shutting my eyes briefly.“God." I whispered.I allowed my body to settle further into the seat attempting to regulate my breath, which was irregular and trembling. A gentle gust from the car’s vent touched my cheek. It failed to soothe the little turmoil still swirling within me.My hands shivered faintly as I grasped the steering wheel. Not due to fear, not like when sudden panic would erupt but merely because all that had transpired seemed overwhelming. Too vivid.“Did that truly occur?" I whispered as I opened m

Sienna's POV While everyone started clearing their things and raising a voice, from the side of the table said, "We’re almost finished. Would you like to share anything before we wrap up today’s meeting with Sienna?”I stopped, noticing the hope reflected in their eyes focused on me. Feeling surged within me. My hand clenched into a fist resting on the table.“I just want to express my gratitude," I eventually said. "For this chance. I will give it my all.”They offered a clap, quiet yet sufficient to bring tears to my eyes. I smiled back, at them sensing a bravery growing within me.Once the meeting concluded Emily and I remained close to the exit. A quiet stillness hung in the air, between us as though anticipating some words to be shared.“I never thought we'd run into each other here," I murmured.Emily agreed with a nod. "Same here. Perhaps this is our chance to begin a fresh chapter not o

Sienna's POV “The idea can be straightforward yet it requires a narrative," Emily remarked as she browsed the images. "We aim to showcase your identity as an author. Nothing. Inconsistent, with who you are.”My fingers nervously played with the corner of the paper laid out before me.Simply hearing the term "persona" made me want to cover my face. I wasn’t the self-assured type when in front of a camera. Having stayed behind my keyboard for a long time, suddenly becoming the public face of my work felt intimidating. As though noticing my unease, Emily gave a comforting smile.“Don’t stress, Sienna. There’s no need to be too formal. Simply be yourself. We can take photos in locations where you feel at ease, your home, your preferred café or even your writing area. Let the audience sense your authenticity.”I nodded gently. A sense of relief began to fill my chest. At least I wasn’t required to become someone,

Sienna's POV “We’d also want you to engage in the media," she adds. "You might share your journey, teaser excerpts or behind-the-scenes anecdotes. Readers enjoy feeling connected to their writers.”That aspect makes me anxious. I’m not someone who quickly steps into the limelight. However if that’s necessary to spread my message widely I’m willing to learn. The editor opposite me remarks "We also want to ensure the story stays compelling throughout. There are some parts where we added comments. Nothing significant just enhances some transitions and conversations, in chapters.”He slides a folder across to me. Upon opening it I see sticky notes adorning the sheets. Oddly I don’t feel offended or pressured. Rather I feel valued. Their intention isn’t to alter my voice but to aid in making sure my voice is expressed distinctly.“I will go over all these notes at the opportunity," I responded decisively. We also

Sienna's POVThe day has come. The moment I’ve both anticipated and dreaded simultaneously. At last I will meet the publishing team at their workplace. My pulse quickens as Vina leads me through the towering structure. The sleek and bustling environment somewhat diverts my anxiety. The flutter in my chest remains.I look up toward the ceiling and the orderly aligned lights lining the hallway. It’s as if entering a realm I have only encountered via my laptop screen, a realm where renowned writers and iconic books come alive. Our steps resonate gently on the marble surface. Employees rush by holding bundles of documents or laptops. A few acknowledge Vina courteously. I nod my head subtly despite not knowing them.“I just can’t believe you’ve made it to this point," Vina remarks, looking at me. Her grin is broad and brimming with pride. "I’m genuinely anxious, for you honestly.”“Please don’t begin too," I responded with a tre
