Abby's POV

I stirred awake from the bed. My head still foggy from the drink at the party. I didn’t even drink much. Just a glass or two, but everything felt strangely heavy. I yawned, rubbing the sleep away from my face.

Everywhere was blurry but unfamiliar. I blinked the rest of the sleep away from my eyes.

My heart skipped. This wasn't my old room in father's pack.

Where the hell am I?

Then a groggy voice mumbled beside me, and my heart froze.

My head snapped to the owner of the voice. It took me a few seconds before I could utter his name. “D...Derek!”

He stretched lazily beside me, still blinking off sleep, his voice raspy. “Mmm…?”

I yanked the sheet off me and looked down. I was half-naked. My heart did a double kick. Before he could fully open his eyes, I jumped out of bed, snatched my clothes off the floor, and ran into the bathroom.

My hands trembled as I checked myself, breathing unevenly.

Nothing. Nothing had happened.

Thank goddess.

I let out a long, shaky breath, leanin

Hayden POVI looked at Alex. He exchanged glances with Lucious. Both of them looked… unsettled.“Alex, I’m asking you. Who is Abby?”His lips pressed into a thin line before he finally said, “Your mate.”The word hit my ears like it belonged to someone else’s life. Mate?“When did I have a mate?” My voice came out sharper than I intended.“You… don’t remember?” Lucious asked, eyes wide.“How could I not remember something like that?” I snapped. My brow drew together.Alex gave a faint, forced smile. “Excuse me. I need to speak with the doctor.”But before he turned, the doctor walked in. He looked at me and smiled. “Mr. Roche. How are you feeling?”I nodded stiffly.“Any discomfort besides the headache earlier?”I hesitated, my gaze flicking to Alex and Lucious. He just told me I had a mate apparently, and I couldn’t recall a damn thing?“Doctor,” Alex cut in quickly, “can I speak with you in your office?”The doctor nodded, and they stepped out.I turned to Lucious. “Tell me what I’m

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Beneath His Alpha Mask

Alex’s POVBy 5 a.m., I was already at the pack office, checking on Hayden. His house security said he hadn’t come home last night.I’d been watching him closely ever since those damn photos landed on his desk yesterday morning. They’d knocked the air right out of me, I didn’t think Abby could do something like that. But Hayden… he barely reacted. As if he’d seen them before. Later, I learned he had, at home.He buried himself in work all through yesterday, which wasn’t unusual for him though. Hayden was stubborn to the bone. But there was something different yesterday. No barking orders. No sharp words. Just… silence. Too calm. That’s not how he handles pain. And it bothered the hell out of me.When I tried his office door, it was locked from the inside. Rare for him.I knocked. No reply. His voice came through the mindlink, low and hoarse: ‘I want to be alone.’I stepped back, guilt gnawing at me. I had encouraged him to go for it with Abby. He’d been hesitant, afraid he’d end up li

Hayden's POV“Lucious, have you sent the location to Clara?” I asked.“Yes Alpha.” “Alright. You can all go home please. I still have a few things to do before heading home.” I said dismissing everyone with a flick of my hand.Alex stayed behind till everyone left. “Hayden….”“Alex please go, I'm fine.” I cut in, pretending to be busy even though I knew he would never buy that. But sincerely, I just wanted to be alone. He hesitated. “Want a drink?”“No. I’ve got work to finish tonight.”I heard him curse under his breath. “Man, don’t bottle it up. Do something. Anything. Burn it out before it…”“Alex!” I thundered. I didn't have to say one more word, he understood and left immediately. The door shut behind him.I exhaled, resting my elbows on the desk and burying my head in my palms. I’d buried myself in work all day, hoping it would smother the weight pressing on my chest. It didn’t.For the first time in my life, I'm completely losing control.“I… I tried everything to make her se

Valentina’s POV(The Previous Day)“Take this. Make sure it gets to Silverclaw pack before evening.” I handed a small bottled potion to Don. “Who should I give it to?” he asked, glancing between the bottle and me.I have this interesting ally at Silverclaw. We both met under twisted circumstances, at a dark witch’s house, and ended up learning about each other's dark secrets. So we made a deal. We either help each other, or go down together. It’s not friendship. It’s mutual blackmail.I smirked. “Someone will be waiting to work with you there. I've sent your contact info to the person already. You'll get a call soon”He nodded and walked off without another word. Don is one of the wolves who has been working exclusively for me for a few years now. That potion? It is a special brew given to me by the dark witch, Morgana. A drop in the strongest Alpha’s drink, it will knock him off completely. If it could get Hayden drunk enough to sleep with me, Derek definitely won’t stand a chance.

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Pictures Don’t Lie

Abby's POV Slowly, he released his grip on Valentina. She coughed, rubbing her neck.Hayden hesitated, then bent to pick up one of the pictures. For the first time since I’d known him, his hands trembled visibly. My intestines twisted. His head turned toward me, slowly.“I... I can ex…explain,” I stammered. My voice barely made it past my throat. He blinked once, lips parting like he wanted to speak but nothing came out.“Hayden… it's not what you think!” My voice cracked. He dragged a hand down his face. “Tell me you're not the one in this picture.” His voice was low.I shook my head as tears began to trickle down my cheeks. Then his voice exploded, loud and sharp. “Fucking tell me you're not the one in this picture, Abby!”I stumbled back. My knees buckled, and I crashed to the floor. He scoffed and then flung the pictures at my face. “I made a mistake.” His voice was cold, then he turned. He didn’t look back as he stormed out.“Hayden!” I choked out, reaching. But he was gone.Va

Abby's POV I choked on my saliva the moment I saw him. I started coughing. Freya had to rush inside to get me water.“Are you okay?” she asked, collecting the empty glass from me.I nodded quickly. “Thank you.”But my heart was pounding so hard. I couldn’t stop thinking about waking up beside Derek. It felt like my guilt had taken physical form and crawled up my throat.Hayden was closer now.“Good morning, Alpha Hayden,” Freya greeted him, all smiles. “It’s been since the wedding, right?”Hayden gave a short nod. His usual way of keeping things clipped and distant.Freya pressed her lips together and nodded. That shouldn’t catch her off guard. She knew how Hayden could be.But I felt it in my gut. Something was off.“You ready?” he asked, avoiding my eyes.“Hmm,” I responded softly. He stepped forward, took my bag without a word, and placed it in the car trunk. Then he turned to Freya.“Thanks, Freya. I’d called Alpha Thorn. He already told me he wasn't around.”“Yeah, he and Luna w
