Abby’s POV

Luna Marie!” Freya barked, shock cracking her voice. “What the hell are you doing here?”

“Freya…” Mother’s voice trembled as she stepped forward. “What are you doing? She's your sister!”

Valentina moved instantly, blocking her path.

“I don’t have patience for your family drama,” she snapped. “End this, Freya. Now.”

Freya turned to Mother, her expression hardening. “I’m sorry, Luna Marie. This isn’t something you get to meddle in.”

Then she faced me again, lifting the blade.

“No!” Mother snarled. Her claws slid out, fangs bared as she lunged toward Valentina. Valentina didn’t even flinch.

“Stay back, old wolf,” she warned coldly.

Their clash drew Freya’s attention for half a second, and I seized it.

Carla, I called desperately again.

Silence.

Bitterness rose in my chest, sharp and burning. Had she abandoned me too?

Then…

“I’m here,” Carla’s voice finally broke through. “Hayden is close. I’ve been communicating with Rey.”

My heart jolted.

Relief tangled with dread. He was c

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Where I Never Belonged

Abby’s POV Derek hesitated, but eventually agreed to take me to the hospital Alex would have taken Hayden to. I suspected it would be Blackthorn Pack Hospital, the closest one. Every other human or pack hospital was far from here.Jessica joined us. She sat in the back with me, patting me softly, saying nothing. Before we left, Derek turned sharply to his men in the second car.“Embalm Luna Marie’s body,” he ordered, his voice hard. “And lock the criminals up. No one leaves until we return.”The car pulled away. The drive felt endless, my mind replaying everything over and over again. If someone had ever told me Freya would do this to me—tear my life apart so completely before it even had a chance to begin—I would have called it a lie worthy of execution. My emotions collided and twisted until I could barely breathe. In a single breath, I had lost my mother without ever getting the chance to vent my anger at her for abandoning me all those years because I refused to shift. She never

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Moon’s Call Grace

Abby’s POVMy whole body froze as I watched his body collapse to the ground, blood still spilling from his mouth.“Hay… Hayd—”The sound broke apart on my tongue as his hands went limp at his sides, his eyes finally closing.Something inside me shattered.I couldn’t move. Couldn’t scream. My lungs burned as terror I had never known wrapped around me, locking me in place.Freya’s wicked laughter rang out, but it never reached me. My eyes stayed fixed on Hayden’s still body, my limbs trembling violently beneath my skin.“Why, Freya?” Valentina cried weakly. “I didn’t ask you to kill him!”Blood stained her clothes as she swayed, barely standing.“So sad it had to end this way,” Freya said, her gaze sliding to me. “You're next.” She lifted her knife.I didn’t move. I didn’t blink. But far worse than the night Derek stabbed Hayden in the basement, worse than the moment my body had exploded and sent Derek and his men flying—this was something else entirely. This wasn’t just an explosion.I

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    A Sister’s Betrayal

Abby’s POVI woke with a sharp gasp, only for panic to slam into me.My hands were tied behind the chair. My ankles too. Thick rope bit into my skin. I tried to scream, but a gag muffled the sound, reducing it to a broken whimper. The place reeked of dust and decay. Cobwebs clung to the walls, thick and undisturbed, as if no one had stepped foot here in years. It was clearly an abandoned building. My heart thundered as I twisted, scanning the room for Freya. But she wasn't here. Panic shot through me, cold and vicious. Where is she? Had they taken her somewhere else? Had they hurt her?I struggled harder, the ropes burning into my wrists, but the more I fought, the more pain bloomed. I was only hurting myself.Carla, I called desperately in my mind.Nothing. I reached again, and this time, only emptiness answered me.My stomach sank, realising I was alone. Then footsteps echoed, slow and deliberate. Valentina strutted into the room like she owned it, her heels clicking against the con

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    The Lure

Abby’s POV When I asked Carla what kind of healing power I possessed, she only gave me a name. Moon’s Call Grace.I had heard of it before, somewhere in the old legends, but the details slipped through my mind like smoke. When I pressed for more, she refused.“We must train more,” Carla said firmly. “Your power needs to awaken fully before you understand it.”And just like that, the question slipped away from me.The next morning, I trained again at dawn before getting ready for the restaurant. My muscles ached, but my mind refused to rest.Where was Hayden?I called his number for what felt like the hundredth time.Still voicemail.I called Alex next, but he hadn’t heard from him either.I told myself not to panic, but unease settled deep in my chest. I couldn’t stop linking the terrible thing Carla said she sensed to Hayden. We couldn’t afford to take this lightly anymore. What if something had happened to him while we were distracted by everything else?Too many what ifs crowded

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Abby in Danger

Hayden’s POV I played her voicemail.“Hayden, where the hell are you? Abort whatever stupid mission you’re on.”My chest sank at the sound of her voice. It was filled with anger, the kind I deserved but beneath it lingered something else, something I wasn’t brave enough to name.“And if you’ve already done it…” There was a pause. “I’ll be the first to kill you.”A tired smile tugged at my lips as I squeezed my eyes shut.“I deserved worse,” I murmured to no one.“Hayden, is everything alright?” Jessica asked, watching me closely. “You’ve been… off. Getting drunk, being easily drugged...”She hesitated. “Did something happen between you and Abby?”“It’s nothing,” I said, shutting the door on the subject. I couldn’t bring myself to talk about it. Pride and ego had blinded me to her warnings too, and now the weight of my failure pressed on my chest, guilt clawing at me from the inside.I dialed Abby’s number, my heart hammering. If she was going to shout at me, I was ready—but please, d
