KELLY'S MEMORIES

“What happened to your arm, Kelly?” Clara asked her father's fiancée, and even though she was a teenager, she noticed that the woman was embarrassed. Her father was also embarrassed by the direct question.

“ Oh, that? It was an accident, Clair” It was her father who answered, but after Kelly's seconds of embarrassment, she hugged him and led him into the living room. Looking at her fiancé, the little girl's father, she smiled, as a gesture that everything was all right. Then she told him:

“ Clair, you know that I work with people, right? People who need help, a word of affection, help getting housing…”

“Don't they have a house to live in?” asked the shocked little girl.

" Some don't have any, others need to leave their homes and I help them, especially when there are children, like you.”

" Why should they have to leave their homes? Will I have to leave my home too?”

" No, dear, of course not.” Kelly pulled her into an embrace, smiling at her naivety. “ You never have
