REALLY DONE THIS TIME

last update 게시일: 2026-04-18 18:56:44

I couldn’t stay downstairs anymore.

After I heard the woman’s laugh at the front door, I locked myself in the guest room and cried until my eyes were swollen. The woman was one of his hook-up girls.

Damon never came to check on me. I mean he never did. By evening I was losing my mind, it was past nine o'clock but he wasn't home yet.

Where was he?

Was he with her?

That question kept eating at me until I couldn’t breathe. Part of me was still the worried wife who had spent three years checking if he was safe. The other part just needed to know who this woman was. Who had finally made Damon act like a man in love.

So I did something stupid.

I got dressed in a simple black dress, grabbed one of the spare cars, and drove to The Velvet Room. The underground club where most of the mafia families handled their business. It was a neutral and dangerous ground. But I knew he went there when he wanted to relax with his friends.

The bouncer recognized me immediately. “Mrs. Moretti,” he said with a nod and let me in without questions.

Inside, the music was loud and the lights were low. Smoke and expensive perfume hung in the air. I kept my head down and moved carefully toward the VIP section. My heart was pounding so hard I felt dizzy. I had never done this before. I had never chased him like this. What if he sees me? What if someone tells him I was here?

I found a spot behind a thick red velvet curtain near their usual table. From there I could see everything but no one could see me.

Damon was already there.

He sat at the center of the table like he owned the place, which he basically did. Three of his closest friends were with him. Bottles of whiskey and cigars covered the table. They were laughing loud, the way men do when they feel powerful.

I held my breath and listened.

One of his friends, Marco, slapped Damon on the back. “So boss, tell us the truth. How serious is this thing with Silver? You’ve been acting differently lately.”

Damon leaned back with a drink in his hand and smiled. A real smile and my stomach twisted painfully.

“Yeah, she’s just…. different,” Damon said. His voice was low but I strained my ear to hear every word. “I’ve wanted her for a long time and she finally came back in town and… fuck, man. She gets me. No drama. No crying. No desperate trying to fix me. Just pure fire. I bought her that diamond necklace last night. You should’ve seen her face when I put it on her.”

The guys laughed and cheered.

Another friend, Rico, raised his glass. “Silver, huh? The one who used to dance at Eclipse? She’s bad as hell. So you're finally dropping the dead weight at home?”

Damon took a slow sip of his whiskey. “Hazel? Yeah. I’ve been trying to get rid of her for three years. The girl just won’t let go. She keeps cooking, buying gifts, waiting up like some loyal puppy. It’s pathetic at this point.”

My knees almost gave out. I pressed my hand against the wall to steady myself.

The third guy leaned in. “So what’s the plan? Are you bringing Silver home soon?”

“Already planning it,” Damon replied. There was this excitement in his voice I had never heard when he talked about me. “I want her in my bed. In my house. In my life. Hazel can cry about it or finally sign the papers. Either way, I’m done. Silver is the one I want. She knows this life. She knows how to stand beside a man like me.”

They clinked their glasses and laughed like laughing at someone else's pain was the funniest thing in the world.

“Poor Rossi girl,” Marco said, shaking his head. “She’s been in love with you since forever and you’ve been treating her like trash. Cold, man.”

Damon shrugged. “She should’ve listened the first time I asked for a divorce. I never wanted this marriage. It was just business from the beginning. But Silver… she’s personal.”

I stood there frozen behind the curtain as tears ran down my face, every word felt like a bullet that was being shot straight through my heart countless times.

All those nights I comforted him, all those mornings I made breakfast, all those times I defended him to my family… they meant nothing.

I was the mistake.

I was the dead weight.

I backed away slowly, trying not to make any sound. My chest felt so heavy I could barely breathe. I needed to get out of there before they saw me. Before I completely broke down in this stupid club.

But as I turned, my foot caught on the edge of the curtain.

It moved.

Not much. Just a little.

But it was enough.

Damon’s head snapped in my direction. His eyes narrowed as he tried to see through the shadows.

I didn’t wait.

I turned and walked as fast as I could toward the exit, my heart hammering in my throat. I didn’t know if he saw me. I didn’t know if he recognized me.

All I knew was that I couldn’t stay there another second.

The cool night air hit my face as I practically ran to the car. I locked the doors and gripped the steering wheel so tight as I let myself cry again.

Silver.

I knew that name. The only Silver I knew used to dance at Eclipse was my stepsister Melissa. But I don't think she's the one. Melissa wouldn't do this to me right? I'm almost like her real sister.

Whoever that Silver was… she had won.

And I had finally lost.

But the worst part?

My phone started ringing as I was about to drive away from the club. It was Sophia. I answered with a shaky voice.

“Soph… I think I’m really done this time.”

But before she could reply, another call came in.

It was Damon.

  • From Discarded Wife, Now the Untouchable Heiress    KISSING HIM BACK

~~ Hazel's POV ~~I stood in front of the mirror in my room for a long time after I left the bathroom. My lips felt different. Swollen. Real. Like the kiss had changed something physical about me that I could see reflected back.I touched my mouth and remembered the exact moment his lips met mine. The way he didn't wait for me to agree, just decided and pulled me with him into something I had been trying so hard to avoid.I had set those rules for a reason.Clear boundaries. No kissing. No touching. Nothing that would make me lose control the way I had lost control with Damon. The way I had spent three years bending and breaking myself into shapes that fit his indifference. But I had kissed him back. And the worst part was that I wanted to do it again.I pressed my palms against my face and tried to steady my breathing. This was exactly what I had been afraid of, losing myself in someone, letting someone else become the center of my world until there was nothing left of me that was ju

  • From Discarded Wife, Now the Untouchable Heiress    RULES CAN CHANGE

~~ Kai's POV ~~I was laying in Hazel’s bed when I heard her arguing with someone in the bathroom, she had run away to the bathroom after I caught her smiling at me while I slept and she had been there for about 20 mins. It was too early to be arguing this much. "Is that him?" Sophia's voice came through the phone speaker. "Oh my god, is that Kai?"Hazel's face went completely red, she turned away from me and tried to change the sound setting from speaker phone."Sophia, no you cant…" she started."I want to talk to him," Sophia cut in, her excitement clear even through the phone.Hazel shook her head firmly. "He's not…he doesn’t want to speak…"But Sophia was already talking. "Kai? Hi. It's Sophia. Hazel's best friend. I just want you to know that you better take really good care of my girl or I will personally…" I took the phone from her."Don’t worry Sophia…she's in good hands," I said simply. There was a pause. Then Sophia let out a sound that was half laugh, half sigh."Oh my go

  • From Discarded Wife, Now the Untouchable Heiress    WAKING UP IN HIS ARMS

~~ Hazel's POV ~~I woke up slowly, still caught between sleep and consciousness. My head was resting on something warm. Something solid. I opened my eyes and realized it was Kai's chest. His arm was wrapped around me, holding me against him. We had fallen asleep like this. I didn't even remember when it happened. One moment we were talking, the next moment his warmth was all around me and sleep had taken over.I stayed very still, afraid if I moved he would wake up.He looked different when he was asleep. The sharp lines of his face were softer. The coldness that usually lived in his eyes was gone. He looked peaceful. Almost vulnerable. Not the ruthless mafia boss that made people tremble. Just a man. Safe. Real.Something shifted inside me looking at him like this. Something I had been trying not to feel for weeks now.Was I starting to like him?The thought terrified me and thrilled me in equal measure.I was still staring at him when his eyes opened. For a moment we just looked at

  • From Discarded Wife, Now the Untouchable Heiress    SEEING HER

~~ Kai's POV ~~I heard her crying before I reached her room. The sound cut through the quiet of the house and I was moving before I fully processed what I was hearing. I took the stairs two at a time and pushed her door open. She was on the bed, curled on her side, her whole body shaking with it.I crossed the room in seconds."Hazel." I was already checking her. My hands moved over her arms, her shoulders, looking for injuries. Looking for blood. Looking for any sign of what had happened. "What happened? Did he hurt you? Tell me what he did."She didn’t respond.“I told you not to go see that man alone. What did he do to you? I’ll kill that bastard.”"I'm fine," she said through the tears. "There's nothing wrong with me.""But you're crying," I said. I was still checking her, my hands moving over her carefully. "Why are you crying?"She shook her head and didn't answer for a moment. Just sat there with tears streaming down her face like she couldn't stop them even if she wanted to.

  • From Discarded Wife, Now the Untouchable Heiress    THIS ISN'T OVER

I blinked. The restaurant came back into focus-the soft clinking of glasses, the low murmur of voices, the faint smell of wine and roasted garlic hanging in the air. The table between us felt suddenly too small, too fragile to hold everything that was happening. Damon’s hand was still on my arm. His fingers pressed into my skin, not hard enough to hurt, but firm enough to remind me that he still thought he could control me. I looked at him, and for the first time, I saw it all clearly. The cruelty. The indifference. The way he had chipped away at me piece by piece until I was willing to beg for scraps of affection. Until I had learned to make myself small enough to fit into his world. “I remember,” I said quietly. My voice didn’t shake. “I remember exactly how stupid I was.” His grip tightened slightly. His jaw flexed. “You were desperate. That’s all.” “Yes,” I said. “I was. But I’m not anymore.” I pulled my arm free from his grasp and stood up. My chair scraped against the floo

  • From Discarded Wife, Now the Untouchable Heiress    WANT TO BE YOUR SUBMISSIVE

~~ Two Weeks Later ~~I knocked on his study door.My heart was pounding so hard I thought it might break through my chest. I had rehearsed this a hundred times in my head and every time it sounded insane, but I was desperate and desperation makes you do things you never thought you would do."Come in," Damon said.I opened the door and stepped inside. He was at his desk, working on something. He didn't look up immediately."I need to talk to you," I said quietly. He looked up then. His expression was neutral, waiting.I closed the door behind me and stood there with my hands shaking slightly at my sides."I want to be your submissive," I said. The room went completely still.Damon stared at me for a long moment, then he set down his pen slowly and leaned back in his chair."Are you okay?" he asked. Like he genuinely thought something was wrong with me. "Is everything alright? Did you hit your head or something?""No," I said. "I'm serious. I want to do this."He looked at me for anot
