Eryna’s POV

The moon is beginning to fad into the early veil of dawn, its pale glow softening the harsh edges of the cave entrance. The fire crackles low beside me, embers pulsing like the slow, steady heartbeat of the wild. Mira has not returned yet.

I watch the forest edge, the place where she vanished in a storm of silver and purpose hours ago. Her shift had been unlike anything I had witnessed in decades. The pain she endured, the grace with which she surrendered to it…it was not just a transformation.

It was an awakening.

I trace the rim of the empty bowl in my lap, the scent of crushed valerian and wolfsage still clinging to my hands. My joints ache from the night. Not from age, no. From the weight of witnessing history rise in front of me and realizing that the child Samantha tried so hard to protect was destined for far more than survival.

Mira is a Great Wolf, the kind of wolf elders whisper about, whose birth rewrites the balance of power.”

The moment I saw her form under th

Liam’s POV“Hey, Nathaniel!” I called through the loud silence that seemed to be answering me, and yet again it was the silence that replied.I frowned and went even closer to the door, banging heavily at it. “Nathaniel! Are you in there?”The only response I got was a soft whisper of wind coming from a crack in the window somewhere nearby.“He’s in there,” Kai said suddenly, and I could feel the certainty in his voice.I stopped to think, to listen, and to smell. I didn't need Kai to explain further anymore… because I could feel it too. There was energy coming from the room, a presence… Nathaniel’s presence. It was weak, but it was there.I sighed. “Then why the hell isn’t he answering?”My tone sounded harsh, but deep down I was actually becoming very worried.“Maybe he’s messing with you,” Kai muttered, but even he didn’t sound entirely convinced. “You know how he likes to test your patience.”I tried to laugh it off… but I couldn't. My temper at the moment would not have permitted

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   The Silence Before the Storm 44

Liam’s POVIt was past noon.I don’t know how long I’d been standing in the garden, staring at the same stretch of gravel path like it would suddenly give me answers. My fingers were still tapping impatiently against my arm, and I felt as if I would burst if I waited a single minute longer.Where the hell was Nathaniel? He was supposed to be here hours ago. We had planned everything perfectly… timing, route, even the excuses we would give if anyone asked where we were going. But now... nothing. No word… No message. Just silence. And I hated it.Kai had been unusually active too, disturbed by my restlessness.“Maybe he overslept?” Kai offered, voice low and speculative.“He’s never late,” I muttered under my breath.“Maybe something came up... family business or something, you know how things can easily get.”“He would’ve told me!” I snapped… Kai kept quiet and slowly withdrew.I wasn’t just annoyed. I was getting worried. Nathaniel was many things… dramatic, reckless, and always runni

Dahlia's POVThe pack house was already in a flurry of activities before the sun fully even rose. Servants were hurrying about, cleaning and preparing, even though nothing in particular had been scheduled for the day… at least, not to their knowledge. But there was a certain energy in the air, the kind of energy that suggested something was coming. Something… was about to happen. And at the center of it all stood Liam.I was watching him from my window, leaning against the frame as he passed below. His steps looked light, lighter than I had ever seen them before. He was whistling under his breath…whistling of all things. He looked more like a carefree boy without worries on a sunny morning, not the Alpha heir of Pine Shadows. It was baffling.No…infuriating.Everyone noticed the change in him. It was like someone had poured sunlight into his veins, and he was determined to spread the light. He greeted the omegas with warmth, nodded respectfully at the warriors, and even stopped to chu

Cael’s POVI didn't know what to say to Mira about her sudden and dangerous request. She was looking at me now, all meek and humble, like a little lamb expecting favour from its shepherd. I had seen the way her voice trembled when she told me about Nathaniel… Her friend from Pine Shadows, the fellow who had been kind enough to follow her after her banishment. The one who had made sure she got to Eryna’s place safely. The one she had promised to meet tomorrow… on her birthday“You promised to meet him?” I asked yet again, careful to keep my tone cool, even though every warning bell in my head was going off wildly.Mira nodded meekly, almost sheepishly. “Only for a little while… Just to let him see I’m okay. He deserves that, Cael.”I gave her another long and studying look. She was being honest… She wasn’t trying to sneak around or hide anything from me. In fact, she was doing the exact opposite… laying it all out, and then hoping I would be the one to make it okay. But that made it wo

Mira’s POV“So, what is it you wanted to tell me?” Cael asked finally. We were done with lunch and were now strolling through the back garden. There was a curious look on his face, and a little panic filled me instantly again.Kira was busy pushing me to speak inside my mind. “Tell him, Mira,” she urged me gently. “He deserves to know…You trust him, don't you?”Of course I trusted Cael. But this…this felt different. It wasn’t something I could joke my way around or casually mention like a funny memory. It was Nate. It was the promise. And it was tomorrow.“Mira?”Cael's voice pulled me back to reality again, and I could see that he was becoming concerned about my silence. I stopped walking and then looked towards a group of birds pecking seeds on the ground.“There’s something I… I need to tell you,” I began again, barely raising my voice above a whisper. My voice was even trembling more than I wanted it to. “I’ve been thinking about it a lot, and I know it might sound stupid or selfi

  • From Omega's Daughter To Alpha's Daughter   A piece of the Truth 40

Mira’s POVLunch was made up of roasted venison and wild herb stew, and the delicious aroma filled the dining hall as I sat across from Cael. He had insisted that we had lunch together, even going as far as coming up to my quarters himself with a mischievous grin and an arm hooked around a basket of fresh berries like he was the one doing the cooking.“You’re acting like you made all this yourself,” I teased, eyeing him playfully as he began piling food onto my plate.Cael laughed like a happy child. “Hey, I did the hard part…I convinced Merla to give us extra garlic bread. I'm telling you, that woman guards carbs as if they’re gold.”I chuckled, lifting my glass of chilled apple wine. “Then here’s to your bravery.”“To carbs and being cunning,” he replied, clinking his glass with mine.I liked the fact that Cael had fully accepted me, and he was always showing it in his actions. I listened attentively as he told me about how he had slipped on wet stones while chasing after one of the
