Selina's POV

“I know you’re still angry at me. But please, don’t do anything you’ll regret just because you’re angry. And… I miss you.”

Miss me? He’s the reason I’m in this mess. He’s the reason my mother’s gone. And he misses me? What am I supposed to do with that?

I want to delete the text, but I stop myself. Instead, I shove the phone back into my pocket and keep walking.

The bakery feels empty when I get there. I don’t bother turning on the lights. The sunlight streaming through the windows is enough. I sit behind the counter, staring at the same spot on the floor where my mom used to stand, kneading dough with her usual determined expression.

I’m not sure how long I sit there, when Celine suddenly arrived.

“You look like hell,” she says, her heels clicking against the tile as she walks in. She heads to the counter and grabs two cups. “I’ll make us some coffee,” she says casually, already getting the machine going. “You need it.”

I take the cup, wrapping my hands around it. She si

It’s just another day. The bakery is busier than usual, and I can barely keep up. Between rolling out dough, greeting customers, and making sure orders are correct, I feel like I haven’t taken a real breath all morning. But I don’t have time to slow down.Celine notices, of course. She always does. And she is here every day. She said she just wants to be here for me throughout my pregnancy as my best friend.“You need to sit down,” she mutters, sliding a fresh batch of cupcakes onto the cooling rack.“I’m fine.” I wave her off, kneading dough with a little too much force.“You’re not fine. You’re sweating and you look exhausted.”“Thanks for that.”She rolls her eyes. “Selina.”“I’m fine,” I repeat. Because if I stop, if I sit down, I’ll have time to think. And I don’t want that.A customer approaches, a middle-aged woman who’s been coming here since my mom ran the place. "Selina, dear, are you gaining weight? You’ve always been so slim!”I freeze for a half second before forcing a sm

  • Frosted with Love   Chapter 63: The Overprotective Era Begins

I smell something sweet—warm vanilla, and... chocolate?Blinking, I roll over, expecting to see Sebastian still curled up beside me, but his side of the bed is empty. Which is weird, because I should be the first one up.I throw on one of Sebastian’s hoodies and pad out to the kitchen, where I find him standing at the stove, flipping a pancake with one hand, a steaming mug in the other. He’s shirtless, his hair a mess, looking criminally good for someone who’s been awake long enough to cook.“Morning,” I mumble, rubbing my eyes. His head snaps up like I just caught him in the middle of a heist. “You’re awake.”I squint. “Should I not be?”He sets his mug down—hot chocolate, judging by the swirl of whipped cream melting over the rim—his brows furrowing. “I was going to bring you breakfast in bed.”I stare at the plate stacked with golden pancakes, drizzled with syrup and topped with berries. “Why?”“Because you’re pregnant, Selina.” He says it like I’ve somehow forgotten.I cross my ar

  • Frosted with Love   Chapter 62: The First Little Flutter

I wake up at exactly 2:13 a.m. with an undeniable, all-consuming craving for something crispy and sweet. I need chicken nuggets. Drenched in honey.I groan and turn over in bed, reaching for Sebastian. He’s lying on his stomach, one arm under his pillow, the other stretched toward me. He looks peaceful. Too peaceful.I poke his shoulder. Nothing.I poke again, harder. “Sebastian.”Still nothing.I nudge his side with my knee. “Sebastian.”He groans into the pillow. “Mmmph.”“I need something.”“Need sleep,” he mumbles.I roll my eyes. “I have a craving.”At that, he cracks one eye open, peering at me like I just said the most dangerous words in existence. He sighs dramatically and turn onto his back. “Okay. How bad?”“Life or death.”He rubs his face. “Okay, tell me what you want, and let’s pray it’s something we actually have.”I hesitate. “Chicken nuggets.”Sebastian perks up. “Alright. That’s normal.”“With honey.”His whole body tenses. “Wait. What?”“Honey. Just… drown them in ho

  • Frosted with Love   Chapter 61: House Rules

Selina’s POV6:30 AM.I wake up with a start. Today’s the day.Sebastian is officially moving in.Which is ridiculous, because if I’m being honest, he practically lives here already. His hoodies have claimed permanent residence in my closet. His toothbrush? Sitting in my bathroom like it pays rent. I can’t even count how many times I’ve woken up to find his socks mysteriously multiplying in my laundry. But still—this is official. This is different.I stare at the ceiling, my brain scrambling to process it. My house—my personal space—is about to become our space. Our home.I sit up, rubbing my face. Should I make breakfast? Something welcoming? Or is that too much? Too try-hard? Maybe I should just play it cool.Yeah. Play it cool.Great. Now I’m talking to myself. Clearly, I’m handling this very well.7:00 AM.Since I’m incapable of lying in bed like a normal person, I do what any sane woman in my position would do: I deep-clean my entire house. Sebastian leaves early, saying he need

  • Frosted with Love   Chapter 60: A Sweet Little Secret

Sebastian’s POVSelina Everhart just asked me to move in with her.Me.Live with her. In her house. Permanently.I can still hear her voice in my head—soft but certain. You could stay at my place. With me.I almost laughed because, let’s be real, I’ve basically been living there anyway. My toothbrush is in her bathroom. My clothes somehow find their way into her drawers. And let’s not even talk about my hoodies—because at this point, they belong to her.But the fact that she asked me? That she wants me there?Yeah. That does something to me.I glance at her now—curled up on the couch, sipping her tea, completely unaware that she just made my entire night.I want to tell her right then and there how much this means to me. That no one’s ever made me feel as wanted as she does. But I don’t. Instead, I just sit next to her, letting my fingers trail along the back of her hand, memorizing the feeling of having her so close.I could stay like this forever. But I have plans too.Big ones.Bec

  • Frosted with Love   Chapter 59: Stay. For Good.

We pull up in front of Everhart Bakery, and before I can even unbuckle my seatbelt, the front door swings open.“Finally!” Celine rushes out, arms wide open, practically vibrating with excitement. “I missed you so much!”I barely have time to react before she tackles me in a hug.“Celine—” I laugh, hugging her back. “We were gone for just a day.”“Exactly! Twenty-four hours of pure agony.” She pulls back, eyes narrowed. “And you didn’t even text me!”Sebastian steps out of the car, carrying my bag. “She was a little busy,” he says, smirking.Celine gasps, turning to me. “Oh my God. Did you—” Her eyes widen as she grabs my hand. “Wait. Did he—”I yank my hand away before she can inspect my ring finger. “No, he didn’t propose.”She pouts. “Damn. I was hoping for a dramatic engagement story.”Sebastian chuckles, walking past us. “Sorry to disappoint.”Celine huffs but then her eyes soften. “Okay, but really, how was it? Tell me everything.”I glance at Sebastian, who gives me a knowing l
