I throw my phone down on the table and glare out the window. “What was the about?” Griffon walks into the office and sits down in the chair across the desk.I grunt as I make my way over to the bar and pour myself some whiskey and downing the whole glass.I don’t know how this is going to go. I don’t know what questions they’re going to ask. This could end really badly.I look over at Griffon. “The Alpha’s want a meeting.” I tell him and his eyes widen, then his face hardens. “They’re mad about me.” He says, and I shake my head. “They’re mad about everything, and they said the only way they’ll even consider letting us in as allies is if we sit down and talk about it.” I tell him and he shakes his head. “Fuck.” He hisses under his breath, and I nod.“Okay… Well, when do you have to leave?” He asks, and I stare at him for a moment. “I’m not. They insisted on coming here.” I tell him and he shakes his head standing up. “They can’t come here. What if they find mom?” He asks, and I take a
The family dinner was better than I thought it was going to be. It was also helped my mood a lot. Seeing everyone together, even with the little fight between Hazel and Griffon, I would still say it was a pretty good time.To laugh and be next to Liam again, was magical.‘Your stupid wolf bit me. She’s lucky I didn’t take her from this world early.’ The witch that’s been silent for almost a week speaks into my mind and I let out a deep sigh.I knew she wasn’t gone, but it was easier to pretend she was when she was silent. ‘Don’t touch Leah.’ I growl at her, and she chuckles, ‘Your mutt was the one who touched me.’ She says, and I roll my eyes.‘Tell her to stay out of my home and I wouldn’t be able to bite her.’ Leah hisses into my mind and it’s like I have two children in my head arguing.I pause, ‘She was in the sanctuary?’ I ask Leah and Leah huffs. ‘Yes.’‘How were you in the sanctuary?’ I ask the witch, and she chuckles. ‘I may not be able to possess you right away, but it’s not
After the dinner party I leave alone, wanting to spend some time with myself and the moon.I shift into my wolf and take off into the woods. Feeling the fresh air flying through my fur and stopping in a clearing to howl up at the moon.An echoing howl comes from across the way, and I internally smile. I wish life could always feel this carefree. Before I can think much else though, my wolf falls to the ground, and I start falling into the abyss of darkness again.I come to in a room full of everyone I love. Their faces ranging from mad to furious as we all look at each other.Seeing myself in a vision is something, but I try to focus on what’s happening. Why I need to see this.“We’ll leave. I’m not going to fight all of you on this. The fact that any of you think this is a good idea, tells me it’s time to move on anyway.” Liam snarls and mom shakes her head, “It’s what she wants Liam. The red moon is getting closer, and the witch is draining her. She’s not going to have any ability t
Once everyone finishes eating, we all break off into groups. Hazel goes over to talk to mom and dad, and I just stand to the side inside Dallas’s cell.I take a deep breath, being here, with everyone really hasn’t been as bad as I was expecting. At this point I’m glad I can’t bake, because it was a fun topic people seem to enjoy making fun of. Anything’s better than the awkward silence I expected pointed my way.Aspen walks over to me, leaning her back against the wall across from me. “You, okay?” She whispers and I give her a curt nod. She looks out at everyone outside the cell and a small smile crosses her face.“I wish Heather was here.” She whispers and I nod. “Not a full family dinner, is it?” I ask her and she looks back at me. “No, but it’s close enough. She would have loved this though. She hated what happened to our family. Prayed for things to go back to normal. I just wish she was here to see this.” She tells me and I grit my teeth, but nod.Though I don’t think she’d handl
I walk down to the cells with Finn and Randy. Now that their magic is out in the open, Hazel’s been allowing them to help out with research a bit more. So, we’ve been spending a bit more time together. They’re actually really skilled with their magic having had to cover it up for so long. “How do you think Amy’s doing?” Randy whispers to me, and I turn my head to look at him. “I think she has a witch inside her causing her to go a little crazy, but she’s going to try and act like everything is fine.” I tell him and his face saddens.“Why do you think the Goddess chose her to deal with all this?” He asks in return, and I grit my teeth. “You know the stories as well as I do. The Goddess chose her mother. Not her. It just ended up being her.” I answer and Finn shakes his head, “Stop talking about it. We’re almost there.” He hisses and Randy nods.Finn’s always been more of the take charge twin while Randy’s always been quieter and more reserved. We walk in and Liam, Dallas, Griffon, mom
“Everyone’s coming.” Dallas tells me and I look up at him confused. “What do you mean?” I ask him and he shrugs. “I guess we’re doing a family dinner down here.” Dallas explains and I purse my lips. “Is that a good idea?” I ask and he shrugs again, “Guess we’ll find out. Hazel needs to talk to you.”I look down at the ground and clench my jaw. I hate this feeling. I know I didn’t technically hurt her, but it still feels like I did.I look up at him, “Is Liam coming?” I ask him and he smirks, “I don’t think we could convince him to stay away.” He tells me and I smile. I know how hard it is to see him and then for him to disappear now and I hate it. But I love seeing him. It’ll be nice to see everybody. Together. Just like old times.I just wish I could do more; I can’t even cook anything down here. Dallas chuckles looking down at his phone and I wait for him to tell me. “Your son is apparently going to attempt to make Heather’s famous m&m cookies. How much to you want to bet he’ll need
