INICIAR SESIÓNMAYA
I sat on the edge of the velvet chair in Maria’s room, my hands folded tightly in my lap while she stood near the high glass mirror, brushing her long dark hair with slow, deliberate strokes.
"We need to chain Philomena's grave," Maria said suddenly, her voice dripping with venom. She turned around to face me, her eyes flashing with a cold, ancient hatred. "I swear, Maya, that dead bitch is still fighting you from beyond the grave for marrying Edward. She fought me back then, and I know in my heart she is the sole reason why I never carried a baby to term in this house. Philomena was evil when she was breathing, and now, so many years after her death, her spirit is still evil."
Maria went on and on, saying a lot of terrible things about me... about Philomena.
"She was a selfish, miserable curse upon this entire pack," Maria continued, pacing across the polished wooden floor. "She brought nothing but tragedy to Edward's life. Please, Maya, you must come and join me to fight that dead soul. I can still feel her nasty presence lingering in every corner of this palace."
I sat in dead silence, staring blankly into the empty air while she spat out bad stuff about me. Every bad word she spoke about Philomena hit me hard in the chest, breaking my heart into sharp, painful pieces. She didn't know that the girl she was mocking was sitting right in front of her. She didn't realize that my soul had walked these halls long before her. But the continuous insult broke down my spirit, line after line.
I kept staring straight ahead, the anger slowly replacing my pain. I looked up at the heavy ceiling fan spinning steadily above Maria's head. In my mind, I wished the fan fell right onto her head to shut her mouth forever.
While I was still thinking it, those weird, familiar feelings I always get whenever I read the ancient book and make a wish suddenly returned. My skin tingled, a sharp, electric heat vibrated behind my eyes, and my head felt dizzy with a sudden, overwhelming wave of spiritual energy.
I was not reading the book right now. The tome was hidden safely under Edward's bed. But the power had stayed inside my blood, fully awakened.
Instead of the fan above, my sharp focus snapped over to the massive, heavy wooden wardrobe standing right next to Maria. Fall, I commanded silently in my mind, wishing with all my strength that something would crush her words into silence.
Instantly, a loud, groaning crack echoed through the bedroom.
Without anyone touching it, the giant wooden wardrobe tilted forward and fell violently toward Maria. She shrieked, diving sideways onto the carpet just as the heavy piece of furniture slammed onto the floor with a deafening crash, shattering its wooden panels into splinters.
Maria lay on the floor, breathing heavily, her face pale as a sheet. Bless the Goddess of the Moon, there was no physical injury on her body at all, the corner of the wardrobe had missed her skull by mere inches. But at least the shock made her stop talking bad stuff about me, about Philomena.
Telekinesis. That was what the book had made me. I could make objects move, bend, and break without touching them, simply by projecting my mind's raw intent.
I stood up slowly, looking down at Maria as she scrambled to her feet, shaking and dusting off her silk robe.
"What... what was that?!" Maria gasped, her voice trembling as she stared at the fallen wardrobe in utter horror. "How did that just tip over?!"
"It must have been an old, unstable hinge," I said quietly, keeping my voice completely flat and expressionless.
Inside, my heart was thundering. I am Philomena, and she must stop speaking ill of my past life. She needed to learn that the spirit she hated so deeply was very much alive and standing right beside her.
As Maria tried to regain her composure, she pointed a trembling finger toward the window. "Tomorrow morning, we are going to the pack's old burial ground. I am going to put heavy iron chains around Philomena's tombstone to bind her spirit once and for all."
I nodded slowly, hiding the sudden surge of excitement rising in my chest.
I loved the idea of going to the grave side. I had a strong, undeniable feeling that finding the exact place where I was buried decades ago—where my former body lay beneath the earth—would help me fully understand the dark powers I now possess. Reconnecting with my past life's resting place might be the final key to mastering this telekinesis, curing my paralyzed Alpha, and destroying Maria's hold over our lives forever.
MAYA"Philomena," Edward called out, his voice a low, disbelieving whisper that hung heavy in the midnight air.Hearing that name roll off his tongue sent a cold shiver straight down my spine. That single word was how I knew, with sickening certainty, that the blinding moonlight and my ancestral magic had stripped away my cover. I had transformed back into Princess Philomena.A few feet away, lying broken in the dirt, Maria let out a strangled gasp. Her bloodshot eyes were wide with a terror deeper than any pain I had inflicted on her body. "You..." she choked out, her trembling, blood-stained finger pointing directly at my face. "It's... it's you..."They were all staring at me. Edward, Maria, and the few guards who had rushed into the courtyard after hearing the commotion, stood completely frozen, as if time itself had stopped.I panicked internally. I could feel the silver aura vibrating across my skin, burning through my veins like liquid fire. Desperate to hide my true face, I sq
MAYAI looked up into Edward’s amber eyes, watching the raw, desperate plea burning inside them. My chest felt so tight I could barely draw air into my lungs.I never knew he had this volume of love for me.All this time, I thought his heart was split between a dead princess and a manipulative Luna. I thought my silence had ruined whatever fragile bond we had left. But looking at him now—seeing an Alpha lower his pride, practically begging me to give him any excuse just so he could hold me again—the sheer depth of his devotion completely shattered my resolve. Now I had to tell him the truth. He deserved it. He was drowning in pain, and I held the only rope that could pull him out.But what is the truth? How could I possibly open my mouth and say, “Edward, I am Princess Philomena, the woman you buried years ago. I died, my soul was reborn in a maid’s body, and I spent five days bleeding over my old grave to break your spell”?If I said those words out loud, he wouldn't just think I was
MAYAMaria was winning. She had won against me when I was Princess Philomena, taking away my life, my title, and my future. And now, reincarnated as Maya—a quiet servant girl with forbidden magic—she was winning all over again.Every single morning brought a fresh layer of agony. The palace was filled with a heavy, suffocating tension. I watched from the shadows as Edward ordered the servants to completely redecorate the mansion. The pictures Maria had secretly taken down from the main lounge,Edward had caught her hiding it and went into a cold, ruthless fury. He didn't just order that single portrait restored to its rightful spot above the fireplace; he went straight into his private vaults and brought out dozens of hidden wooden crates of Philomena.Inside those crates were countless paintings, portraits, and photographs of Princess Philomena—of me in my past life.Out of sheer anger toward Maria, Edward insisted that the servants hang those pictures in every single corner of the ho
MAYAI stood there staring at my Edward, my heart pounding so hard against my ribs I thought it would burst right out of my chest. My eyes welled up with hot, emotional tears as I took in the sight of him—standing tall, strong, and healthy, his deep amber eyes completely clear and full of life. He was cured. He could see me.Without thinking, pure instinct took over. I let out a soft sob, rushed over to throw my arms around his neck, and reached out to hold him tight."Edward!" I cried out, my voice cracking with overwhelming joy.But before my arms could touch his chest, Edward stepped backward, putting a cold, deliberate distance between us.That sudden move made me pause mid-stride. My hands hovered awkwardly in the chilly air, freezing in place. My breath caught in my throat, a sharp, icy pang of hurt shooting straight through my chest. He had pulled away from me.Before I could even process the sudden rejection, two of the elders who had not yet left the hallway stepped closer, t
MAYA"You went to be with the pack boys!" Maria yelled at me the exact moment I stepped into the house. Her voice echoed violently off the high marble walls of the foyer, sharp enough to cut through the quiet air of the mansion. Her eyes were bloodshot, her face twisted in a ugly mask of rage as she stomped toward me, her heels clicking loudly against the polished floor.I stood my ground near the entrance, holding my cloak around my shoulders. I was exhausted, but deep inside my chest, the newly awakened magic hummed like a quiet, dangerous storm. I looked past Maria's angry face, letting my eyes sweep across the long hallway.Something was missing. My gaze landed on the main wall above the grand fireplace. The large, elegant oil painting of Princess Philomena—the picture that had hung in this house for decades, staring down at everyone—was completely gone. In its place was a blank, pale square on the wallpaper."Where is her picture?" I asked, cutting right through her screaming. My
MAYA"You did it, my dear," Orlando said the moment I opened my eyes.I blinked against the sharp, blinding glare of the afternoon sun, my mind feeling hazy and disoriented. My limbs felt heavy, yet an electric, vibrating warmth was humming beneath my skin. I pushed myself up from the cold earth, shifting back into my human form and wrapping my dark cloak tightly around my trembling shoulders.I looked down at the earth beneath my feet, then over at the old caretaker who was standing above me with a wide, proud smile etched across his wrinkled face."Oh, the five days have already gone?" I asked, my voice dry and raspy, barely above a whisper. It felt like I had only closed my eyes for a few brief minutes to rest my tired soul.Orlando nodded slowly, his clouded eyes shining with a strange, ancient reverence. "Yes, child. Five full days and nights have passed while your soul walked the deep spiritual realm over your buried bones. You did not feel the passage of time, and that shows th
