Blair POV

I couldn't believe it. I stayed two hours with Dimitri, losing track of time, and now my mom is scolding me. I tried to remove my hands from her grip for the past 10 minutes. All she did was yell at me, claiming I was supposedly trying to make everybody panic again, that I was using my incident as a way to make her lose her mind.

“I never wanted it to be that way. If only Vale had not even woken us up, they wouldn't have had any idea about what was happening.”

“Oh God, Mom, let go. I’m not going anywhere,” I said to her as she pointed her hands at me angrily. I could see the fright in her gaze, but beneath it, she tried covering it all up with her anger.

“Don't make me get angry at you, Blair. Don't make me. Because if you do, you won't be able to escape it. Do you know how scared I was, Blair?” she said to me as her anger suddenly subsided, and it came pouring back with tears.
