Shay's POVI was surprised how time flew by so quickly during the day that the next thing I realized I was led into a classy looking restaurant with Sylvia by my side while the rest of our co-workers walked ahead of us, their voices ringing in the air with excitement evident in their voices. I had never been to a company dinner before so it was clear that I was a little bit nervous that I haven't actually said a word to anybody the minute we arrived. I tried to focus my attention on everything around me with a little hope that I might find something that will spark my interest. Shay's POVAfter having my dessert, I excused myself to go to the ladies room to do a little retouch on my makeup before we all start leaving and call it a night. I opened the door to the restroom and placed my clutch on the counter and looked at myself in the mirror. Shay's POVI walked up the steps towards the front door and that's when I noticed the lights in Shawn's private study room was still on. His study room is located on the other side of the house separated from all the chaos and noises that happens inside our home. The room was actually bigger than a normal garage and it's very well furnished and styled and it's pretty cozy too with a big leather couch inside along with the wall bookshelves and his table and drink cabinet occupying the space too. It's the only place where you'll find him because he normally spends a lot of time in there.I retraced my steps and strolled across the lawn towards his study room and went inside. He was sitting in his big leather chair relaxing with a drink in his hand and his eyes focused on the wall. Shay's POVFor the past few days as I continued to go to work, Jason and I have started to get a lot closer and act comfortable around each other more than I had thought we would be. It was one thing that I had noticed have changed recently including my mom's level of curiosity about my whereabouts. Shay's POVThe sunlight visible through the light satin curtains was what woke me up, I smiled while sitting up and then slowly dragged myself out of bed and did my usual morning routine but only this time, I was at Sylvia's place. I slept over yesterday, enlightening her with the main highlights of my day with Jason. I couldn't stop talking about him nor could I even stop myself from thinking about him every few minutes. I keep reminding myself that I'm getting a little carried away with my emotions but can you blame me?
