“Don't you get it? We are going to die! We are all dead! This is not the end, this is the beginning of our misery!"

“And… cut!” The director's words cut through the air, and the camera’s recording light went off.

"That was great, Carter!”

“Get it, girl! Get it, girl!" Members of the production crew there laughed and clapped at my acting.

We had been shooting for four hours straight with only brief breaks for outfit changes.

I sighed and wiped away the fake tears and blood on my face, then grabbed a bottle of water from one of the staff members, extending their hands to me.

Julius, my co-actor, smiled and nodded at me before turning away.

I began to walk away from the scene and towards the set-up tent.

A staff member trailed behind me with a small fan, and another walked towards me with a makeup box in hand.

“You did well, Miss Carter. I wasn't wrong about you," the director said when he approached me.

I looked up and nodded my head.
