CHAPTER 10

Ava's POV

I walked into Gwen's partly open bedroom, unsure of what I was doing. I could only pray she wouldn't suspect a thing. "What are you doing here?." She asked me frostily, staring at me. I knew she had a kind heart, I just had to put up an act, strong enough to fool her.

"Gwen I…. I have something to tell you."

"Leave! I don't wanna hear it." She snapped.

Undeterred, I continued.

"I know we don't get along." "I've tricked and bullied you so many times that I can't count." "But that doesn't change the fact you're my sister, my younger sister." "My family." "You and dad are all I have left." I said in an emotion laden voice.

She was hooked. She was slowly falling for it. It was a relief.

"What do you want Ava?." She asked me fiercely. Much to my shock, she had turned hostile. The vulnerable Gwen had been replaced with a defensive one. I couldn't let my schemes flop, I had come too far for this.

I imploded into tears. "I'm in trouble Gwen, I don't know what to do." I cried pityfu
