Chapter 20 "God, how I missed you..."

What Aldric said was like a sharp slap on Ethan’s back head.

“Why didn’t I think about that?!” He groaned.

“Because you are like a stupid fool, only staring at her all this time!” Aldric scoffed. “I’m waking her up!” he added decisively.

“No! You can't do that. She doesn’t know about you yet!” Ethan sternly opposed. The Lycan had no way to transform if his human was resisting. “I will wake her up and ask her if she can stay the night with us and see how we can slowly make you know to her. Are we clear?” Ethan had to explain fully so Aldric would no longer insist.

They both missed her, but Ethan did not want to make her feel the fear he felt when he saw himself in a different form.

"Besides, you said she doesn't have a Lycan," Ethan explained. "We don't know how she is going to understand everything if we don't take it slow, don't you think so?"
