“You told me it was going to be a small party," I accused Cassie.

I had to yell at the top of my voice so she could hear me because the music in the club was loud.

After the close of work, I rushed home to change my clothes and get ready for the party that Cassie had set up for me. On getting there, it was different from what I had expected. I thought it was going to be a small gathering of just us and our co-workers but Cassie had gone the extra mile of inviting not just our co-workers but also my old schoolmates and some people that I didn't even know where they came from.

Cassie snorted. “Of course, it is," she replied.

“Seriously? You call this a small party?“ I asked, gesturing at the people gathered.
