“Mr Payne, your wife is here sir”, I hear my secretary announce through the speaker. I take a deep breath and I stand up as the door opens and Rita walks into my office. She looks as beautiful as she did on the day we got married.
“Ex-wife”, I hear Rita say as she walks past my secretary and into my office.
“Sweetheart”, I say as she approaches me and she stops on her tracks and looks me from head to toe.
