Chapter 4

Everyone immediately turned to look at Eric in astonishment, unable to believe that I had publicly cuckolded him.

Several paparazzi quickly took a few steps back when they saw the dark look on his face.

"Ms. Hartman! You should still have some self-respect even if you and Mr. Morgan aren't really married to each other!"

I resisted inwardly, but my body just disobeyed me and grabbed the paparazzo's hand, placing it on my chest.

"Stop talking nonsense and come in with me now! I promise I'll satisfy you!"

Eric's eyes sharpened as he slapped me hard.

"Melody Hartman! How could you resort to such despicable means just to get revenge on me! And to think that you still accused Ayna of being a sex addict when it's obvious now who the sex addict really is!

"Ayna's still standing there without moving a muscle! I'd love to see how you're going to worm your way out of your ridiculous lies this time!"

He slapped me so hard that I fell to the floor in a heap. Hatred rose in my heart, but my body remained prostrate at his feet while I looked at him with seductive allure in my eyes.

"Save me, Eric! You have to save me… I feel so hollow inside… I want the pole in the hole!"

Ayna grinned smugly as she pointed her camera toward me.

"You're seeing it now, aren't you, everyone? The so-called dignified heiress of the Hartman family is nothing but a promiscuous, shameless slut who enjoys stealing other people's husbands to sleep with them!"

The media were convinced, and the paparazzi immediately began taking photos of all the slutty poses I was making on the ground, their flashlights going off one after another.

Someone even began live-streaming me, instantly sparking a heated discussion online.

The headline, "Sex-addicted heiress steals another woman's husband and begs a male reporter for sex in public out of sexual frustration", immediately began trending online.

The entire internet began raining insults and condemnation on me.

"Who would have thought that such a dignified heiress would be so reckless and shameless after all!"

"The late Mr. Hartman used to be an upright and righteous man. How could he have had such a despicable woman as his daughter?"

"She even stole someone else's husband and flaunted him as her own! She's gone mad with lust for men!"

"What's Mr. Morgan still waiting for, an invitation to divorce her? I swear I'm going to sell all my Morgan Group shares immediately if he doesn't distance himself from this slut!"

When Eric saw that, he had a sudden realization and shoved me away in disgust, his expression heartbroken.

"Melody Hartman! You pretended to be a gentle and virtuous woman in the past, but I never thought you would turn out to be such a scoundrel after all!

"I had wanted to give you a grand and respectable wedding out of consideration for the Hartman family's favor toward us, but you didn't appreciate it!

"And now, everyone has witnessed your wanton and unruly behavior. It would be a huge disgrace to my family if I were to have anything to do with you again!

"I hereby declare that I have absolutely nothing to do with you anymore! Now that Mr. Hartman Senior's dead, you're basically no different from a street slut without me!"

The last line made the men in the crowd gulp in excitement.

"Mr. Morgan… Are you saying that you won't hold us accountable for whatever we do to her now?"

Eric's eyes turned cold.

"Of course. Seeing how seriously ill she is, she'll probably even thank you all for saving her afterward!"

Eric's reputation soared online at once, and his stock price actually rose because he was distancing himself from me.

Several lewd, disgusting men then rubbed their hands together as they approached me, their foul breath making me feel dizzy. Yet, my burning body kept pressing against them, practically throwing myself into their arms.

I was immediately thrown onto the bed by those men as they continued rubbing their hands together and discussing the order of events they were going to do to me.

Meanwhile, Ayna snuggled tightly into Eric's arms with an even more smug grin on her face.

"Everyone witnessed it, Ms. Hartman, that you were the one who instigated this debauchery on your own! The Hartman family's century-old reputation as a respected military family is now ruined in your hands. Let's see if you'll still actually have the guts to face anyone after this!"

Her words stung me. I simply couldn't understand what kind of evil spell she had to have cast on me to put me in such a horrible and wretched situation, even after my rebirth!

The intense pain somehow brought a brief moment of clarity, and I struggled hard to get up and flee. However, I happened to glance at my pale face in the mirror just then, and a flash of realization suddenly dawned on me.

So, this was how she did it!

I suddenly stopped myself from trying to run away. A smirk then played on my lips.

Since Ayna had gone to such lengths to do this to me, I was going to play along with her till the end!

Ayna's expression changed in the next instant.
