"You know you'll make a good teacher."
Rosetta leaned off the wall as Domenico walked out of his class. He pulled the door shut and keyed the lock.
"If your silence is meant to annoy me, forget it, it's not working. I actually like it. The good girl talking to the dumb boy."
He forced himself to stay mute.
"Are you angry?" She followed him.
"Sei arrabbiato? I should be the angry one. I waited hours for you to finish your class and not even a smile did you offer me when you came out as my so deserved thank you but I don't want a smile, I want a hug...a kiss preferably...a longgggggggg kiss."
He increased his jogging pace down the stairs.
"Hey! I'm wearing heels!"
He jogged even faster. He heard her laugh and his jaw clenched. What was funny about his behaviour?
"I don't like people wasting my time." He snapped when she finally catwalked out of the library. She was putting on one of those her uncomfortable dresses
"One kiss." Her lips moved closer to his.His irritation snapped and he was about to push her away but got himself back in control. Two could play the game."Just one?" His tone dropped, playful and enticing. She blinked surprised then nodded, her eyes filled with anticipation."Kiss the dust." He whispered and pushed her away."You...uh!""Domenico."He froze. Rosetta turned around and both of them stared at Luna a few metres away. He swallowed her name in."I'm sorry for disturbing" She shot a forced smile at Rosetta, "but can I speak with you?"He agreed because he wanted to get away from Rosetta."One minute." He told her when they moved some distance away for privacy."I'm sorry about that night. I shouldn't have said what I said. I'm sorry. I...I didn't like that you...I'm sorry, I really am. You deserve happiness and everything good. I am the one who doesn't deserve friends for saying that to someone
"Buon giorno."Marino stared open mouthed at Domenico who had just woken up."Did you just greet me? Veramente?"Domenico smiled, got down his bed and went into the adjoining bathroom.Marino scowled, "Hey! Where were you yesternight? You always come back later than I these days and it's freaking weird.""Don't you know I have tutoring sessions?" Was Domenico's reply after walking out the bathroom."You told me it ends about 10pm, you came back past 1pm.""I had other engagements.""I would have...I got ditched." Marino scowl remained. He threw himself back on his bed.Domenico glanced at him from the open wardrobe, "Ditched? You had a date?""I think.""You think? Someone gave Bernard a taste of his own medicine.""Where did you go?"Domenico grabbed clean clothes fit for the spring season. It was still quite early, past 5am but he wanted to get an early start. He hadn't done any late night r
"For the coming new month, you are all expected to pay the mandatory monthly departmental dues and..." Domenico read out the announcements. After class, he watched Clemente walk up to him through the corner of his eyes as he packed his bag to head to the cafe. "Fratello." Funny. Brother? He stood up straight, swinging his bag over his shoulder. He stared blankly at Clemente. Clemente itched his head, looking anywhere but at him, "About the...tutoring ...that was what I wanted to ask that night...I'm sorry about that night but I meant those words I said. I wanted to ask if you still want to continue in with..." "If you decide to attend, your business. If you don't, still your business." He walked away. He sipped his coffee slowly. Rosetta came towards him from the entrance of the cafe, Luna walked towards him from the counter. Both had no idea the other was present. There was only one seat. He wait
Luna hoped her sunglasses did good to hide her puffy cheeks apart from her red eyes. Two buildings away from the medical faculty was the Pharmacy building. He was the first person she thought of for comfort, her fiancee. He didn't have any lecture at the moment, he would be in the mini library at the basement. When she got there, he was leaving."Luna?" He called surprised then gave her a quick kiss."Hey" She held unto his arm as he made to leave, "are you busy?"He patted her hair with a smile, "Unfortunately, I am. I'll pick you up by half past seven and then we'll have dinner at my place.""But...""I'm sorry." He sighed and gave her another kiss, longer this time before leaving.Although disappointed, she felt a little better. She trudged out of the building, a feeling of emptiness and loneliness engulfing her when she stepped out into the open. She felt worse. She thought of calling someone else then realize
Marino looked at himself and shook his head. Was this Bernard? He inspected the package he bought again before knocking on Rosetta's door. He had seen her car heading home and since he was less busy, he decided to quench his desire to see her.Did he feel guilty? A little. After all, Domenico was his roommate and friend but that was it. Domenico didn't have a thing for Rosetta, even hated her guts, neither were they dating, it was just Rosetta pinning after him. All he wanted was a little fun, he had wanted Rosetta from the onset he met her but she had played the hard-to-get card but now he had her. He would take every advantage he had, have his fun and then he could let go.It was a strange lady that opened the door. She squinted at him, "Bernard."He was confused, "You know me?"She laughed, "Sorry, your face is really funny. That's the name Rosetta calls you so it stuck.""Ah." He nodded, "is she home?""Sleeping."
Luna's professor called her an hour later and asked if she was calm and stable. She was far from it. She had tears and snoot running down her face and she had to force a normal voice, which ended up coming out croaky, to talk to him.He told her that whenever she was ready for the practical, she only had to come to his office and ask. She had begun another round of crying after hearing his words. He hung the phone on her.He was just that kind of person. After moping in her car for hours, she had gone to the toilet, washed her face and touched it up a bit with make up to hide it's puffiness then sat in the library and struggled to read.A little before 7:30pm, she was out and waiting for her fiancee by her car. She soon watched his car cruise to her. One thing she loved about him was the timeliness, she loved it about herself and she loved it in him.She let herself get lost in their kiss when he kissed her."I missed you." He murmured in he
"Aaaaah, the crush emotion is speaking" Milena mocked, "the first...no second time Rosetta D'armani has fallen and fallen hard. It's a good sight to see." "Shut up." She didn't need remembrance. "Maybe it's a tad too tight. I told you before, didn't I?" She whirled around, "You chameleon! Whenever did you tell me my dresses weren't okay!?" "I told you!" Milena defended then recoiled, "Uh...maybe a year ago?" She rolled her eyes and turned back to the mirror. "What do I do? I'm running late."*Domenico heard noises and loud whispering and he paused in his teaching of the six students in his class. Was supposed to be seven but as expected, Rosetta didn't show up. "Excuse me." He said to them and went towards the door. He pulled it open and stepped out. The sight in front of him stopped him in his tracks, his eyes popped out. He blinked, once...twice... The sight blinked, once...twice... He blinked... thrice... The sight blinked... thrice... The ice broke and he bursted into l
Her eyes were watery at the end of his little speech. He had meant to make her cling to him more, not put himself in an emotional uncomfortable moment. Since finding out the previous day that she was one of Leonardo's many weaknesses but a major one, he had been more firm in his decision to use her but surprisingly, his words were sincere, from his heart. He thought her beautiful. Rosetta cleared her throat and blinked her tears away, "You have no right to tell me what to wear! You are not my stylist or my clothing advisor or my parent or even my man! Besides, you are a man, and what do you know about ladies wears!?" She said that but she came to him hours later at the cafe, dressed in jeans and a shirt.*He went home before leaving for his tutoring classes since his lectures finished early for that day. Marino was home and not his usual self. "You've been moping around since yesterday." He remarked, sitting at the foot of his bed, facing Marino who was laid down on his, "Is it abo
