FAZER LOGINFor the first time in a long time, Felicia slept soundly during her stay at the Ross family's home. The house was already filled with reassuring scents when she woke up. Ava was busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen. For Felicia, she had prepared a homemade chicken soup and packed a nutritious lunch in a thermos to take to work. Felicia had informed them the previous evening that she was quitting her job. To keep herself occupied, she intended to work as Jeremy's assistant for a month.
The notion didn't initially excite them. They hoped she could rest, take care of herself, and concentrate on her pregnancy. Felicia, however, refused to back down. She felt alright except that she was a little heavier now. She could handle a few easy jobs. She needed something to do more than anything else. She only began to overthink everything when she was idle. Colton eventually gave up on getting her to reconsider.
Ava waved Felicia away when she offered to assist with breakfast. In order to find prenatal Pilates courses in the area, Felicia cuddled up on the couch in the living room with her phone in hand. She made a mental note to look into one later after finding one that seemed interesting. Her heart fell as she continued to scan through her feed without thinking. A collage from an elegant dinner party at a posh club appeared in a post.
Kennedy, a friend of Max's who she had added back when she was still Max's assistant, wrote the post. "Dinner night," was written in the caption. PS: Playing the role of third wheel again. When will we be able to attend your wedding celebration? Max and Andrea appeared to be inseparable in the pictures. In the center image, Andrea's face was hidden when she leaned in close. with his arm wrapped protectively around her shoulders and against Max's chest. Max gave her a tender glance that nearly oozed off the screen.
The entire atmosphere was so charming that it was nearly excessive. Felicia had never been good enough for Max's world, even if they all knew he was now married. Kennedy most likely uploaded the pictures with the knowledge that Felicia would view them. Felicia's breath was taken away by the excruciating tightening of her chest. After shutting down her phone, she stepped out onto the balcony. To combat the ideas that were whirling out of control, she needed a moment to gather herself.
Her big belly caught one hand's attention. Her heart was too heavy to bear. Max would marry Andrea right away after the divorce was finalized. Given how much he adored Andrea, he would most likely adore their children. What about her child, then? Would her child's father ever show them any affection? "Breakfast is ready, Felicia," Ava said from within. Felicia snapped back to the present with a blink. She inhaled deeply, wiped away a tear that would not go away, and hid in the bathroom to gather her thoughts. She appeared perfectly well by the time she emerged.
Greg picked her up after breakfast and drove her to work. At first, the ride was silent, but Greg kept looking over, obviously concerned. "Is something wrong, Felicia?" he eventually asked. She didn't trust herself to talk, so she shook her head. Greg spoke in a soft tone. "You're pregnant, Felicia. Don't hold anything inside. It's bad for both you and the unborn child. After a long period of silence, she finally said, "It's nothing." It's just that Max has moved on to someone else. Acceptance is difficult, but I will overcome it. You don't have to be concerned about me.
"I'll finish up the files today and get the handover done as soon as I can." Max remained silent. He only gave her a chilly glance before making his way directly to the dining room. Felicia exhaled deeply when he had gone. She approached the couch and took a quick look at the pile of papers she had thrown in the garbage. She took a seat, moved the trashcan to the coffee table, took out the papers, and then replaced the can in its proper location. She looked at the documents. They were all old, pointless documents. Most likely, this was merely a means of making her life more difficult. Felicia returned to her room with the files, only to discover that the door was still locked. To locate Marian, she went to the dining room. Marian looked at Max, who was essentially mute and didn't say anything. All right. Without first unlocking the door, she proceeded to Felicia. giving her a gaze that could have sliced.Felicia took her phone and headed inside. She discovered numerous missed calls fr
Jeremy inquired, "How did you hurt your knee?" Felicia refused to discuss anything and shook her head. "It's nothing." Jeremy didn't insist on getting more. The room became silent. Felicia spoke after a pause. "Mr. Milman, I want to take the baby and leave the country." Jeremy's eyes were worried as he gazed at her. "What's going on?" Felicia put her palm on her stomach and looked up at the ceiling. "I don't feel safe leaving my child with the Hawthorne family."This baby is wanted by the Hawthornes. How are you going to remove her? He was correct. How could she? Miranda now had a strong attachment to this child. She was not allowed to simply go with her. To ensure Felicia was comfortable, Jeremy stood up and carefully raised the blanket. "All of that stuff is not necessary for you to consider. Pay attention to your health and well-being.That's the most important thing. Anthony and a nurse entered. Jeremy and Anthony went outside while the nurse attended to Felicia's knee. Anthony lo
Felicia strolled down the pavement, stopping occasionally to take a breath. She hadn't actually eaten lunch, and now that the cold was piercing her coat, she was hungry, and her stomach was beginning to turn uncomfortably. She eventually arrived at the estate's main gate after more than thirty minutes of wandering. She started to slip outside, but a security guard stopped her. "Ms. Ross, Mr. Hawthorne wants you to go back inside."Felicia paused. This wasn't out of worry, she knew. "I'm not going back," she declared, attempting to go past him while putting her palm to her tummy. The guard remained steadfast. "Ma'am, we can't let you go. It's frigid, you're pregnant, and we'd be held accountable if something went wrong. Just leave, please. Back inside. Felicia's breath was steaming in the cold air as she glanced up at him. She made an effort to speak steadily."Could I borrow your phone to make a call?" I apologize, Ms. Ross. Pain and frustration twisted inside her as she stood there.
Feeling her baby's subtle kicks, Felicia lay on her side with her palm lightly covering her belly. Slowly, her feelings calmed down. Nevertheless, she kept thinking about what Kennedy had said. Max detested the child who was developing inside of her. How much would Miranda care after Miss Curtis gave birth to a Hawthorne heir? Does anyone care about Felicia's infant? She dared not think about it any longer. She couldn't abandon her child to deal with a family who didn't want them. She decided then and there that she had to go with her daughter. She snapped out of it when she heard a knock on the door. She shuffled to the door after sitting up and swinging her legs over the bed. She was met by Marian's piercing expression. "Mr. Hawthorne wants to see you." With her heart racing, Felicia made her way to the living room.Max was sitting on the couch, appearing harsh and icy. She had braced herself, but she tensed at the power of his presence. She approached with stuttering steps and droo
Max looked at Andrea, who was approaching them, and laughed lightly. It's imperative that you keep your younger sister a secret from Andrea. If she were aware of how she would undoubtedly become envious of how much you cared for her. "Darin gave a headshake. "Look, I don't mind you dating Andrea, but until you deal with your own mess, there's no way I'll let her move in with you." Max remained silent and simply grinned. Andrea approached with shining eyes."What are you guys talking about?" Darin merely smiled. "Nothing much." * "What's your deal, Felicia? Do you really believe that you are so significant? Sandy forcefully placed a stack of documents on Felicia's desk. Sandy had attempted the standard tactic only a minute before, giving Felicia work that wasn't even hers. This time, Felicia didn't even think before saying no. Felicia smiled coolly and mockingly at Sandy, who was virtually trembling with rage."Sandy, if you can't handle your work and need to shove it onto someone else
He didn't intervene because he assumed Kennedy must have run into someone he knew. Kennedy blocked Darin's path as he approached, prepared to assist. "Just leave her alone, Darin. It was inevitable for her. Disregarding him, Darin assisted the woman in getting up. He said, "Are you okay?" Felicia was unable to speak because she was in so much pain. She didn't even give him a glance.Rather, she shook her head and limped over to get her dropped thermos. Darin glanced at Kennedy. "Have you not seen that she is expecting? It's Max's business. What if she suffered an injury? Kennedy chuckled icily as he looked at Felicia's strong physique. "I think she looks excellent. Additionally, it could be preferable if she lost the baby if something did happen. Felicia stood frozen in place. Her chest tensed, the words piercing her deeply. Kennedy could only mean one thing if he said something like that.Max had no desire for this child. Darin scowled, but a clear, upbeat voice interrupted him befor
