Chapter 6 – The Mysterious Wife?

Maeve’s eyes darkened from annoyance before she recalled her from her past life and her jaws clenched.

At that time, she did not care about the women who got close to Gabriel because she just didn’t care but now, something inside of her could not allow it, even if Mildred was Gabriel’s childhood friend and one of his biggest clients.

But then again, could she be the woman Gabriel got married to? The mysterious wife? Maeve tried to see her ring finger but from where she sat, she could not see it, leaving her miserable.

“Mildred, what brings you here? Can’t you see I’m in a meeting?” Gabriel pushed her away and said seriously. Mildred Hill was his childhood friend and they were quite close but he never felt anything for her beyond friendship.

Mildred had made his intentions known to him but that even put him off and he put her in her place. They were still friends but he knew that she was still obsessed with him. Mildred pouted and sat on a chair in front of Gabriel since Maeve sat o
