Chapter 8 - Such pretentiousness

Gabriel felt like Maeve must have hit her head on a rock and gone into comatose, where she lost the memory of who Dylan was to her but went back to the time when they used to be very good friends.

The times when Gabriel wanted to tell her how he felt about her but rather wanted to wait until she graduated from college since he was two years ahead of her.

Well, Dylan appeared and changed everything but now, her behavior totally changed.

‘You kept me waiting for so long,’ Reginald messaged back, the tone sounding annoyed.

‘Because she spent the whole day in my office. We literally worked together,’ Gabriel texted back before the old man relaxed and texted again,

‘That is strange but you have to be careful. She is my daughter but Dylan could use her to spy on you.’

‘I understand. Good night, Dad.’

‘Goodnight, son.’
