Chapter 9 – Asking for Doreen's forgiveness.

From the chat Gabriel had with Maeve’s father last night, he felt that he needed to be very careful since Maeve was in love with Dylan.

Gabriel knew that Maeve was soft at heart with matters involving love and would blindly do anything for Dylan.

He did not want to be a victim of Dylan’s schemes. Thus, his distrust was not towards Maeve but the man behind her.

Besides, her father had not informed him that she would be coming in today. Moreover, her car was not in the car park, which could mean that Dylan had come to drop her off again.

Maeve was saddened by his cold behavior this morning but beamed,

“Good morning, Gabriel.”

“Will you answer my question please?” Gabriel asked coldly.

Maeve could not tell him what she came to do but was glad to have done it, knowing that after Gabriel must have read the soft copy of the document on his iPad at home, he would not know that what he had in the office had been tampered
