Logan was less polite than Hayden. He ignored Harold and Martha as he looked at Sonnet and asked, “Are they your parents?”

“Yes.”

“Isn’t your father hospitalized because of cancer?”

“That’s my foster father.” Sonnet paused and added, “My foster father has raised me since I was small.”

Logan nodded and told Fatso, who was standing behind him, “Bring the box of premium cigars over from the car. We’ll give it to Mr. Cole as his wife’s birthday present.”

“Don’t be so courteous, Mr. Scott. It’s our honor that you’re even here today!” Harold immediately said.

“It’s not expensive at all. You can light the cigars whenever you feel like smoking,” Logan said as he sat down next to Hayden.

The Cole family felt even more out of place now. Logan and Hayden were now the main characters of the banquet.

The guests of the banquet all came over to make conversation and greet them. They all tried to take the opportunity to get on Logan and Hayden’s good sides.
