I continued crying non-stop until we reached the basement. Rod pulled me until we reached the second floor of the mansion, into his room where he used to entertain me.

"From now on, this is where you will stay, Jane. You won't leave this room. Do you understand?" Rod said, releasing his grip on me and facing me.

I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself. My chest felt like it was going to explode from the overwhelming emotions.
