Chapter 20: Trigger Warning

Intently, Clarixto stared at the quadrangle from the window of his office at his nephew's university. One of their staff had just left, whom he questioned about what happened last night. He couldn't believe Rodrigo's behavior.

"Why didn't you kill him immediately, Rodrigo?" Clarixto asked himself. "What is happening to you?"

He let out a frustrated sigh. Whenever something like this happened, Rodrigo no longer explained who was at fault. He silenced them right away because anger often consumed him. Clarixto allowed it to happen. He knew his nephew had an illness, but he used it to continue their operation. Now that Rodrigo couldn't bring himself to kill, it wasn't good news for Clarixto.
