Chapter 1093 Eyesore

Author: Five Generals
“N-No! I-It wasn’t my idea! I don’t have the nerves…”

Loren was terrified and could not string a proper sentence.

Kaze clenched her chin and forced her to look at him. He grinned and said, “Of course not. You wouldn’t stand a chance either.

“But since you’ve applied to fly the helicopter, you should put it to good use.

“I heard you slept with Leigh Glitter? Judging from your filthy character, I believe there are some pictures in your phone.”

Loren was stunned. She immediately knew what Kaze was referring to.

She shuddered terribly as she said, “N-No! T-There’s nothing inside!”

Her reaction betrayed her.

Kaze saw her clenching her phone tightly, so he snatched it.

When he tapped on the phone, he saw Loren sleeping in Leigh’s arms with nothing but a bath towel.

Leigh seemed to be asleep.

“This is a steamy hot screensaver. I think there are more in your gallery.”

Kaze clicked his tongue and grinned. “Unlock it. Open your eyes.”

“No! Please! No! Leigh will kill me

Unaware of social etiquette, Clarice kept insisting that Kaze take her advice. “When did you get here? Why didn’t you let me know?” With Kaze and Clarice pulling and tugging at each other in public, Edmund would think they were having a lovers’ spat. However, Edmund could read the reluctance in Kaze’s eyes. Edmund did not want to come between Kaze and Clarice. However, he had to stop Clarice from getting too pushy. “There you are, Uncle Edmund. Can you talk some sense into him? I brought him along to say hello to you, but he just wouldn’t do it. He said it’s inappropriate because he is just a bodyguard,” Clarice whined. “You should know better. Look at the people. You should just ask me to come over.” Edmund was rather thoughtful. Kaze did not take Edmund’s attitude as a good thing because the latter possibly guessed his identity. Edmund had always been high and mighty before, not one to humor Kaze. Nevertheless, it was best to keep conversations to a minimum. The

Clarice was only looking out for Kaze. She never looked down on Kaze because of where he came from, only liking him for who he was. It was a shame that Kaze never let his feelings be known, and Clarice felt uncertain. Thanks to one lady, Clarice figured something out. Nothing else mattered so long as two people were in love. Everything was worth giving the relationship a shot. “I have something to tell you after the event.” Clarice wanted to profess her feelings to Kaze, and she could not wait a minute longer. Kaze furrowed his brows, feeling thrown off. He had a hunch about what Clarice wanted to say, but there was no way he could reciprocate her feelings. It was a dilemma. Alas, a smart girl like Clarice did not seem to get it. Her confession would only drive them apart. Kaze could not respond to her feelings or provide any help. The only thing he could do was walk away. He did not want to give the wrong idea, so she needed to understand the reality of the situ

“Either way, he better not challenge me again,” Edmund said confidently. He trusted that Morris would no longer be a nuisance. After all, Edmund had a new ace up his sleeve. He could secure his win by getting this person under his thumb. Even if the person were to leave Westeros, Edmund might continue to find success. Morris’ walk of shame out of the place indicated to the businesspeople that the power struggle within the Viper’s Den was over, and the winner was Edmund. “I got to give it to Mr. Witterson. He’s amazing.” “He’s young and talented. For him to lead the branch at his age, I have high hopes for him.” “I have some business dealings with the Wittersons. Since it’s going to be a long-term partnership, I should head back and make some plans.” “We should hurry up and introduce ourselves to Mr. Witterson. I hope he takes our business cards.” The group went to say hello and talk to Edmund. Not to be left behind, the other families went up to strike conversations

During the long wait, everybody returned to their seats. The seat right in the middle of the first row was left vacant. It was no secret that the seat belonged to Edmund. Most came to the reception to get to know Edmund; too bad the VIP tended to arrive fashionably late. Nevertheless, it would be an honor just to have a quick chat with Edmund. Morris knew that he should not have come. However, there he was. He said nothing about the snub, thinking he could handle the heat. He could ignore the hostile looks. However, the struggle was real now that he was at the scene. He looked at the empty seat next to him, his heart in his throat. Edmund would never miss out on a chance to insult Morris, which put Morris on edge. Still, Morris had to plant his bottom firmly on the chair, or this would be the last of the Siegfrieds. He must seize the opportunity. Feeling down, Morris looked to where a host took the stage. The host sure knew how to work the crowd, sparking laught

The doorman drew close and opened the door. Morris got out of the car with a tender smile and said hello to a business partner nearby. The press was on site. With Morris in full attire, the cameramen immediately turned to capture the moment. The business event concerned the economy of Westeros. The movers and shakers in business would not take the event lightly. Both leaders of the Viper’s Den Westeros branch were invited to battle it out. The businesspeople would decide who they would do business with. If the hierarchy between Edmund and Morris had been established, businesspeople would sign business deals with the top dog right away.It was not a chance to be missed. For that reason, the business reception was a huge spectacle. Morris was ready for the cameras with a smile. Even though his complexion was discolored from recent weariness, Morris still gave everybody his best. “Welcome, Master Siegfried.” Morris was ushered into the reception hall. The enthusia

Morris would have to make a choice. Though things might not turn out well, he had to follow through. “I’ll see what I can do, but the golf course is sitting on a nice piece of land. It’s profitable if it can be used for golf or recreational purposes.” Miles did not have the heart to pull the plug on the golf course. “Out with the old, and in with the new. Don’t worry about it. The golf course will be back in my possession so long as I stay in power within the organization,” Morris uttered confidently, putting faith in his competence. “Master Siegfried, I have footed the medical bill for our crew, but some of them are leaving us. Should we offer them compensation?” Though it was not Miles’ place to ask, he ran out of money. He needed Morris to allocate some funds to him. These men had been through thick and thin with Miles. Now that they were injured on the job, it was only right for Miles to provide some form of compensation. They still needed to make a living. Morris
