Chapter 2774 Buckridge Lounge

Author: Five Generals
“So you’re in?” Rose asked excitedly, her tone relieved.

She did not get along with many of the young family members because she could not stand their behaviors. They were too pretentious.

These family members lacked substance. All they cared about was showing off.

Since Bella had urged the younger members to stand as one, Nelson and Agatha called to make sure Rose would go.

Given Hanses’ rising influence within the family and invite, Rose felt compelled to attend too.

She hoped Kaze would go with her. Having Kaze around would put her at ease.

“Okay.”

Kaze gave a nod. Understanding Rose’s reservations, Kaze patted her head with a smile and asked, “When and where?”

“It’s at Buckridge Lounge at eight tonight,” Rose said happily.

Thrilled, she went to get dressed and doll up.

The Otter girls loved to dress for the occasion. Rose did not want to be outshined.

Kaze simply smiled. He did not mind stuff like that. All he would do for the gathering was take a shower and sl

“Sure. Mr. Witterson, if you need anything, just let me know. I’ll have my team handle it.” Darcy treated Edmund with respect and sincerity. “That’s all for now. I’ll talk to Kaze about the project,” Edmund said, showing no other concerns except for his interest in the project. Kaze sat down in front of Edmund and nodded. “Don’t worry, Ms. Quint. I’ll be here with Mr. Witterson.” He promised to treat Edmund like the VIP client that he was.Darcy pursed her lips, but there was nothing else she could say. She nodded and then left the meeting room to get the contract drafted. She even closed the door on her way out. “Mr. Lee, I think I did a good job playing along? I didn’t expect any of this.” After the door closed, Edmund stood up immediately. The arrogance he had displayed earlier was gone, replaced by a polite and deferential tone. “Not bad. They didn’t notice anything,” Kaze said before looking at Edmund. “But I just texted you, and you showed up right after. Were you al

Edmund’s explanation left the managers speechless. They were shocked yet defeated by his questions. They realized they were not up to the challenge. They had their shot, and they let it slip through their fingers. They should have at least given it a try instead of sitting down like losers. Instead, they were held back by Edmund’s inquiry because they feared defeat. Now that Kaze had Edmund’s acknowledgement, they felt nothing but regret. They even started to resent him and simply thought he was lucky. However, not once did they think they were the ones who backed down when challenged. They did not dare to speak up, and that was why they lost. “I believe you all understand this was an opportunity, but you didn’t take it. Don’t blame your colleague for bravely standing up to the challenge. You should help each other out and encourage each other,” Edmund added. He was like a kind-hearted boss, trying to encourage his employees after the defeat. It was his character that people

  • Guardian-In-Law   Chapter 4388 Going After Kaze

Based on what Edmund said, Darcy knew he did not want to waste time or linger too long. If there was a promising project, the manager could pitch it, but only the main points. If Edmund was interested, it could get greenlit, but it was not going to be easy. No one knew what Edmund had in mind or how to win him over. His own company had many thriving projects already. A small company like theirs might not be able to impress him, but the proposals had to be enticing.“We have a few key projects in the pipeline and are looking for investments,” Darcy said after a moment of hesitation, introducing the project that she originally had with the Titan Group. “This is the project. Please have a look.” She then looked at Edmund, waiting for his remark. “I heard you’re working with the Titan Group on this. Unfortunately, it has been delayed, but the deal is still on, right? Why don’t we move on to something else?” Edmund had heard about the project and did not want to share someone e

“Thanks, guys. Honestly, I wasn’t planning to take part, but since you’ve brought it up, I might as well throw in a proposal and see if I can give you all some competition. You’re all senior managers here, after all. I’d be foolish not to follow your advice.” Kaze was not the least bit bothered by their sarcastic jabs, much less affected by them. Since they wanted him to join the little competition, he would simply play along. Edmund was one of his own, and no matter how weak his proposal was, it would be chosen. The purpose of Edmund’s visit was simple: to invest in Darcy’s company. Since Kaze was a manager here, unless Edmund was completely out of his mind, he would surely choose Kaze’s proposal. Kaze could just sit back and wait to see the other managers eat their words.Kaze did not have to worry and simply waited to beat the other managers in this little competition. He returned to his office, grabbed the documents he needed, and headed straight to the meeting room. Edmun

As the elevator door opened, Edmund stepped out to see the entire office waiting for him with a bright smile. It was a typical scene for a person of his status. He had long grown used to such receptions back at his own company and many other events. However, when he glanced across the group and spotted Kaze, a hint of fear caught up to him. He dared not speak a word or react to Kaze’s presence, so he played it cool and acted normal. “Mr. Witterson, welcome to our humble office,” Darcy said and went forward with a handshake. Edmund knew exactly who Darcy was. She was the reason why he came. He smiled and nodded but did not shake her hand. He was not about to risk anything that could get him in trouble with his boss. “Ms. Quint, ever since our companies have been working together, I have always wanted to visit, but never found the time. I’m glad I finally made it. “And you’re known to be a stunning woman—I’d hate for someone to snap a photo of us touching hands. We wouldn’t

  • Guardian-In-Law   Chapter 4385 Receive

Darcy was not in a good spot. She had a lot of things to consider before making a move, and that hesitation worried her employees. They even started to doubt her. They did not know how long she would be there. Would she be transferred again soon? They had just gotten used to the shift in management and did not want the peace to be disrupted. Kaze tried to calm them down and explained the situation to them so that they could stay focused on their work and avoid distractions from unnecessary concerns. After he got a better understanding of the company’s internal affairs, he returned to his office and texted Edmund. He knew Darcy’s company was working with Edmund’s. However, Edmund put his men in charge of liaising with Darcy and had never visited in person. Kaze understood it was not worth Edmund’s time to visit a small branch company, but now that Darcy’s company was facing a problem, he wanted to change it. If Edmund could show up, it could take some pressure off Darcy’s should
