Chapter 346 A Hellcat

Author: Five Generals
“Didn’t they move over from the Old District? Just make them move back.”

Lyla made that statement right in front of Camry and Teresa. She showed no concern for their feelings.

“No.”

Winnie declined and said, “The Old District is in a bad neighborhood with high crime rates. I can’t raise Brenda there.”

They were living there before because they had no choice.

Now, they had moved back to their family home which was in a nice neighborhood.

Winnie could not possibly send her daughter back to live in the Old District while she lived in comfort at the old family residence.

Smack!

Lyla slapped Winnie.

Winnie’s thin face swelled up behind her loose hair.

“Mom! You’re mean! Don’t hit my mom!”

Lying in Kaze’s arms, Brenda cried out heart-wrenchingly.

“Shut up, brat!”

The angry look from Lyla made Brenda shudder.

Teary-eyed and lips apart, Brenda looked at Lyla in horror.

Lyla cocked her head and got her finger up Winnie’s nose. “You are a whore. You are still stickin

  • Guardian-In-Law   Chapter 4396 Assemble a Team

Whether or not Kaze met with Buffy after that night, no one knew. Darcy dared not find out about it either. The thought alone made her feel uncomfortable; it frustrated her even. Dwight felt something was off about Darcy. He then watched her walk off and headed back to her unit. “Strange. If she’s looking for Kaze, why would she come to me? They obviously have feelings for each other yet neither of them speaks up about it. Strange,” Dwight said with a sigh and closed the door. He then looked at his phone. The text he sent was not read, so maybe Kaze was really busy. Dwight knew Kaze’s identity, so being busy was normal because he had to handle a lot of matters. Kaze’s phone was placed in a locker in the changing room. When he arrived at the Viper’s Den office, he headed to the training room. Edmund had gathered a dozen expert agents in the training room, waiting for him. They were all top agents of the agency and always excelled in their missions. Some of them were ev

  • Guardian-In-Law   Chapter 4395 Worrisome

“When I went to his office, he was already gone. I heard from his team that he left precisely on time. Most of his team had already gone home, only a few were still packing.” Luca was not trying to snitch on Kaze, but she simply said what she saw. She was just surprised how fast Kaze left. “He just got a project and he’s not having a meeting to discuss it? He even left on time?” Darcy had never seen an employee like him and was truly surprised. “Kaze sent them a list of requirements that they have to fulfill. They are all assigned separate tasks with a deadline. As long as they could complete on time, they could deliver the project early,” Luca explained. Kaze had finished his work, so he was free to leave. “But the team needed communication and encouragement. How can he leave without saying anything?” Darcy could not accept Kaze’s actions. She was dumbfounded by it. “I don’t know about that. He’s gone already. Do you need me to call him?” Luca asked carefully. “It’s

  • Guardian-In-Law   Chapter 4394 Because of a Woman

“Hmph! You won’t be lucky forever. You are just a useless guy who relied on a woman to climb your way to the top,” Campell grunted before he tapped on the elevator button. There were rumors in the office that Kaze got the job because of his looks, and Darcy preferred him, which explained why he received special treatment. The employees even suspected that they were dating, but since they barely had any interaction, or maybe they were good at avoiding attention in the office, the rumor remained a rumor. However, they strongly believed that there was something unusual between Kaze and Darcy. The rumor slowly spread across the office but only remained as a topic in the pantry, not in open discussion. Kaze returned to his office and started working. He sent his requirements to his team and told them to complete them as soon as possible. He had something to do later in the day, so he had to go off early. He worked as fast as he could, compiling and collecting data. When it w

“Let him try then. If he’s a good fit, we’ll focus on training him further.” Darcy was willing to give Kaze a chance. Luca nodded. She wanted them to reconcile and get back together. As Darcy’s assistant, she could tell that her boss and Kaze had a history. She also noticed their unusual interaction especially since she had spent so much time with her boss. Kaze might look unreliable and somewhat arrogant, but he was capable and never let people down. Edmund and Kaze then entered the elevator. Edmund was a little nervous. They had maintained a cover in front of everyone and Kaze was the one who had to please him, which made it pressuring and suffocating. “Mr. Lee, why don’t I send someone over to take over my place to liaise with you?” He was afraid that Kaze might come after him after this. “Not necessary. There’s not going to be a lot of interaction. We’ll just talk on the phone. You are a busy man and this might be your first and last time here. If you always come

Kaze was happy that Darcy was satisfied. This deal was a guaranteed profit for the company so she did not need to worry about anything. Edmund was generous with the terms. He let Darcy take more profits from the project, which was good news for the entire company. “Thank you for your trust in us, Mr. Witterson. We will work harder to exceed your expectations. If there’s anything you want to change or modify, or we are not delivering, do contact me and I will urge them to make changes,” Darcy said as she was still worried about Kaze. She still thought Kaze was too arrogant and might not be able to handle the project nicely. “Kaze is good enough. I’ll stick with him. I can just talk to him if I need anything.” Edmund dared not offend Kaze, so all he could say were words of flattery. Even though this project was nothing to him, he knew how to make both of them happy. “Alright, if you’ve decided, I’ll let Kaze take charge,” Darcy said with tightened lips. Kaze simply nodd

“We won’t give up. There are other ways to deal with this,” Kaze said seriously. “We have to raise our own team and need more help.” He had decided to raise his own team to face the upcoming challenges. Those men would certainly send stronger and fiercer attacks in his way. Therefore, Kaze must quickly assemble his own team and place them across the city to keep watch. “Mr. Lee, let me take charge of this. I have a few potential candidates who can be of good use, we can bring them in,” Edmund said, volunteering to take up the task. Edmund knew he must seize this chance as the future of Westeros was at stake. If things went south, then it would impact his life and many other things. He must treat this seriously. “You’re more proactive than usual. I thought you were just going to sit back and do nothing,” Kaze teased with a nod. Now that he had decided to raise his own team and connections, he must plan for the upcoming challenges. Kaze must carefully take everything
