The Badboy

Chapter 3

“Good morning class,” the teacher greeted suddenly upon entering.

“Good morning Ma'am,” I greeted back and it was awkward because I’m the only one who greeted. Why does it seem wrong that I did that?

“Oh I see we have a new student here. ”

What? Is that so? You will only know that you are a new student when you greet the teacher alone?

“Kindly stand up and introduce yourself to everyone.”

I stood up. “Uhm I'm Xania and I'm 17 years old. Nice to meet you all,” I smiled at them but almost everyone ignored me. Okay nice talking.

“Thank you Xania. You may now take your seat,” said the teacher and sat. “So let's start our discussion.”

I immediately opened my notebook ready to write but I was surprised when my classmates are bringing out different things. Oh, so they use a tablet, cellphone or laptop to take down notes. My notebook is embarrassed. But it doesn't matter. I continued to write.

As the teacher spoke, I couldn’t help but be distracted. It looks like the teacher is numb. Some students are chattering and then you can see the others playing with their gadgets. What the heck.

“My Gash. Why did our Badboy Prince sit next to that new student?” whispered one of my classmates who was just in front of me.

“Yah. Beginners are the losers of this school,” whispered another.

What shameless girls. The way they murmur is as if what they are whispering cannot be heard. Note the sarcasm. You think I want your prince to sit next to me?

After all, I don’t know why but I feel like that guy often looked at my position. I will glimpse back at him and catch him looking but then he will immediately avoid looking at me that made me frown.

What does he want? If he wanted to say something then tell me. I cannot concentrate on taking down notes with what he is doing.

But I also really look at him because he looks really familiar. It was as if I had already seen this guy. As I listened to the teacher, I noticed something hanging from the collar of his shirt. It's obvious that he's not in his uniform and looks like he's just visiting but because of that...

I was surprised because I already remembered why he was so familiar!

“Ah—”

Kriing! The bell suddenly rang which meant our current subject was done.

“Goodbye class,” the teacher said goodbye as I greeted back alone again but after the teacher left the classroom,

“It's you,” I said suddenly as I pointed at the guy next to me.

Some of my classmates looked at me while his serious eyes went to me.

“You're the man in the black car that pushed me aside in front of the gate earlier. ”

Suddenly his forehead furrowed because of what I said.

“And then?” he asked seriously.

You know, maybe if I was just a normal student that doesn’t mind about people like him, I might be scared by those looks... but I'm not like that.

In the first place, he is the rude one and the way he insulted me back there, he shouldn’t have done that not because he’s treated as a prince here. I raised an eyebrow at him and was about to answer but the next teacher came so I didn't bother and just opened my notebook again.

I ignored him and had no intention of talking to him. Is this the prince they are referring to here? Not because he’s handsome you will ignore his attitude. Badboy Prince? Pssh more like the Frowning Prince.

~~~
Kriing! The bell rang again and this time, it's time for recess. All the students immediately arranged their belongings and were ready to go out but Xania was surprised because almost all of them stayed in their seats and no one came out.
Until the guy next to him suddenly stood up with still a frown on his face, took his jacket and walked away from the classroom, that’s when everyone stood up. Then, the students followed walking out and Xania couldn't paint her face from what she saw happening right before her eyes. She started to get annoyed to that guy because she still couldn't figure out why his classmates treated him like that.
As the so-called Badboy Prince walked down the hallway, the students who are standing on his side are inevitably whispering and watching him go, especially the girls. You can really hear their squeals and you could see that the Badboy Prince is starting to get annoyed so he looked poisonously at almost all the students in the hallway.
“Will you be quiet or not?” he asked venomously.
Everyone fell silent after he did that at the same time he immediately avoided looking at them and continued to walk away. He walked straight to a room in the school, the principal’s office. He didn’t bother to knock and even kicked the door just to open it and inside it, the principal is standing up while looking at some documents she was holding.
“Yes who it—” Ma'am Jacky was stunned when she saw him enter and without a word just sat on the chair in front of her. Ma'am Jacky's gaze returned to him.
“You didn't even knock and now you kicked the door,” she told him but he was just silent.
She just let out a sigh once sat in her chair. “Why wasn't I surprised?” she whispered to herself.
“I've done it,” said the person she was talking to that surprised her a little and looked at him. “I've already done what you said. I came in today just to observe the new student you're talking about.”
Ma'am Jacky paused at her place first. “So how was it?”
Badboy Prince frowned at her. “Is there anything I need to say about that woman?”
“Not really. Maybe she did something to you and you don't want her and you will suddenly tell me to expel her from this school like you always did before,” Ma'am Jacky casually replied. “And because my deceased sister made you the inheritor of this school because you are her only child, of course I need to know your opinion.”
Even though his Aunt said a lot, he just let out a sigh.
“I have no interest in that new girl. She will study here or not, whether she is a scholar or not, I don't care. You just wasted my time getting here. You think I will consider coming here again because there is a new student you seem interested in and that I can be interested too?”
Ma'am Jacky let out a sigh.
“Hay Vince my nephew,” said his Auntie. “I'm not saying that was my plan. You’re blabbering.”
Her nephew's forehead remained furrowed.
“But maybe partly there is,” Ma'am Jacky admitted. “But it doesn't seem to work. But that girl is really interesting to me Vince. I have a strong feeling. Didn't she really do anything earlier in your classroom that even aroused your interest?”
The Badboy Prince didn't say a word and he seemed to look in the other direction which his Auntie immediately noticed.
“Oh what's this?” Ma'am Jacky asked suddenly. ”It's like she did something you don't want to tell me Vince.”
“She just fixed a broken chair in the classroom so that she could sit because her classmates would not let her sit,” he said irritably. “What's interesting with that?”
Silence passed through the room after he said that and suddenly Ma'am Jacky just laughed to break the silence.
“She did that?” she laughed.
“Tsk,” he clicked his teeth as his response.
She laughed again because of that. “I'm telling you Vince. That girl is really unpredictable. Sometimes, she'll just do something out of the blue or maybe say something that you don't really expect.”
“That's enough Auntie,” Vince interjected suddenly which gradually silenced his Auntie but the smirk still remained on her lips.
“No matter what you do, you won't get me back in here again. Remember that,” Vince sternly told her.
Ma'am Jacky's face gradually became more serious.
“How long are you going to sulk Vince?” she asked him.
Vince paused in his place because of that question before pulling on his jacket and turning around in response. His Auntie let out a sigh.
“Then how about your cousin's birthday party later? You should go there. I heard Quincy even sponsored your cousin a boat for her birthday today,” said Ma'am Jacky.
Vince stopped for a moment while still turning his back on her.
“I'll think about it,” he answered seriously once he walked towards the door and this time, he used the door knob.
When he came out, he was stopped by someone blocking in front of him. The woman in front of him was also shocked back and he immediately looked at her because they were just talking about her a while ago. He immediately frowned as he looked back at her.
“Get out of my way,” he commanded immediately to the woman in front of him and he thought she would step aside but she even raised an eyebrow which surprised him a little.
“How condescending. Like he's not blocking the way either,” she whispered, which Vince heard that annoyed him.
“Did you say something?” Vince asked seriously.
“Nothing,” Xania made a fake smile. “Here you go, dear prince. I am stepping aside.”
This girl has guts because she doesn't know who she's talking to. But Vince ignored it because he thought it will be a waste of time so he just walked away. That woman will pay someday.
Vince didn't bother to enter the next subject of his class because in the first place, he really had no intention of entering. Yes, he is considered a badboy because of his dealings with the people around him and he doesn’t follow anyone even those that are older than him, but the only reason he obeyed his Auntie's request, is because he knows very well how his Auntie will react when he didn’t follow her. Also, he knows, she’s the only remaining person he respects.
When he returned to his mansion, he immediately parked his black and elegant car in the garage and immediately entered the mansion.
“Oh Vince. You're too early,” Manang Gina greeted when she entered and gave her jacket to the only housemaid of the mansion. She looks like she is over 50 and she is the closest person to his mother and the longest housemaid of their house so to this day she is still here.
“How was it when you got to school?”
“It's still the same Manang,” Vince replied.
“I'm sorry I couldn't prepare something for you to eat right away. What do you want me to prepare—”
“No need Manang,” Vince interjected. ”I'm going somewhere later so don't bother,” he said as he entered his room.
He immediately laid down on his big bed and he looked tired but if we look at it, it doesn't seem like he is tired going to school. Maybe he was just stressed out by the people around him who were always whispering and murmuring every time he went there because he seldom goes to that school.
Also, that newcomer entered his mind. That woman added to his stress. Honestly, if he could just kick that woman out of the school he would have done it but for now, he is letting her go first because he doesn't know who she is yet. He is wondering to himself why he didn't let her know who he is to know her place.
Maybe because he thought that the thrill might disappear if that woman found out who he was. So sometimes he doesn't really want to go to that school because the students there already know who he is.
He really had no interest in that woman. Really! His Auntie can go ahead think what she wants to think while he will go to sleep now because he still has a party to go to later.
