The Set Up

When I got home Julian was on call, the minute I stepped in she ended the call and ran to me

“Where have you been? I have been calling you, I called like a hundred times, you didn’t pick any of my calls, why did you drive off like that?” she asked worried

“It was Alex I said to her

“What? She asked stunned

“I don’t know how he got in my car” I said

“How is that even possible? how does he know that you are here?” she asked

“I don’t know, he must have followed me” I replied

“Where did he take you? did he hurt you?” She asked concern written all over her face

“He took me to a motel he’s been staying” I replied

“What did he say to you? did he hurt you?

“I…I need t sit down” I staled as I thought of what to say

“Sure, sure” she replied

I went over to the couch and sat down

“What did he say?… what did he say to you?” she queried

“Nothing much, he was just telling me to call Dave off, the usual threats” I lied
