Nherisa found herself standing in what looked like darkness for a second before her eyes opened, and she could see that she was in a dense forest on an island. The forest was so dark that anyone could barely see, yet Nherisa almost immediately found Eric. Without bothering, Nherisa let go of herself, and she fell to the ground in tears. She tried to reach into the last reserve of hope inside her, but there just wasn't any. Her chest beat heavily, and her heart tightened whenever she thought of what could be on the other side, when she thought about her child could be going through, why that portal returned to swallow her child.
