I sigh, turning to face Kurt. “What do you want Kurt?” I mumble, hugging my book to my chest. “What’s with all the rumors huh? Something to try and makeup for the fact that you are a sucky person with a terrible personality? That’s disgusting, really” He spits out. “I really don’t have time for this” I say, going to walk away from him. He reaches out, his hand pressing against my side. “You’re not going anywhere”. “Fuck” I curse at the sudden pain. “This isn’t funny and it most definitely doesn’t make you cool” I say, my hand on my side, trying to ease the pain. Its almost healed but that doesn’t mean it can’t still hurt. “Oh yeah? Well I find it really fucking funny” He says turning my head, roughly. “What happened there huh?” He looks at the fading bruise. The makeup must have rubbed off. I pull my arm out of his grip, dropping my book in attempt to get someone’s attention. “It’s non of your business” I say, venom lacing my voice. “No, tell me. I’m curious if the rumors are true”

“Kisses” Daniel wakes me up. I groan, opening my eyes to see his perfectly sculpted face. “What time is it?” I rub my eyes, searching through my suitcase. “6:40. I was going to let you sleep later but I figured you would have gotten mad because you wouldn’t have enough time” He laughs. “Well you thought right. Thank you” I smile, kissing him. I run into the bathroom with my clothes and quickly get ready, straightening my hair messily. 6:55 Crap, I still need to do some makeup. I can do it in the car if I need to. “Kiss, can I come in?” Daniel asks, knocking on the door. “Sure” I say applying some concealer, eyeliner, eyebrows and mascara. The absolute bare minimum. “Stop with all the makeup” He wines trying to take the mascara wand out of my hand. I swat his hand away, continuing with the process. “I mean it” He says trying to grab it, which causing me to pull it away. “Stop or you’re going to have mascara all over that flawless face of yours” I tease, finishing my mascara up.

I wake up with a sore neck and a small weight on my chest, Porsha. The unfamiliar surrounding confuses me at first, soon being replaced with realization. I check the time, 10:30. Not bad. I stroll into the kitchen, humming to a song. I wonder what time Daniel’s game is today. I turn my music on, careful that it isn’t too loud. ‘You say you can’t live without me So why aren’t you dead yet, Why you still breathing?’ Madison’s voice sings as my eggs cook. I swing my hips along to the beat, embracing the effect music has on me. “Are you trying to kill me?” Daniel’s raspy morning voice sounds behind me. I laugh, hugging him. “Good morning, how’s your sleep?” I place a quick kiss on his cheek, flipping the eggs. “I slept good. How did you sleep?” He smiles, leaning against the counter next to me. “It was okay. Do you want some?” I say, he nods. “Thank you” He says when I hand him my original plate. “What time is the game?” I ask, smiling over at him. “One. These are really good

Luckily, we are in Express where they have leather jackets. “Go in the dressing room, I’ll come to you after” I smile, shooing him. I run to find Kylie, telling her my idea. “I absolutely love that. You go too Brooks” She says and we search for clothes. I grab a black leather jacket and some black ripped jeans. A white t-shirt even though he can wear the black one he has on already. I would love to see it with white too. Grabbing a belt off the rack, Kylie and I make our way into the dressing room to see Daniel and Brooks leaning against the wall, conversing. “Promise me you’ll have an open mind?” I hold my pinky out to him. “Fine” He smiles, interlocking our fingers. “Thank you” I kiss his cheek, handing him the clothes. He goes into the dressing room next to Brooks. “Kisses” He whines. I just ignore it. Soon he comes out, the clothes fit him perfectly. Today I am moving into the apartment with Cody and then going to Brooks party. I’m very excited to finally be on my own and not feel like I’m taking advantage of the Greens. I never really unpacked my boxes so it doesn’t take long to pack everything up. I still have to figure out what to do with my house. I’ll take care of that after I turn 18 so that I can get the money for it. After packing everything I look at Daniel to see his eyes still pressed closed. I shake my head, a smile on my face. Picking up some of the light boxes and bringing them downstairs. “Kisses? Where’s Daniel?” Brooks questions as I struggle with a heavier box. “He’s still sleeping. Its early” I laugh, looking at my watch. Its only 8:30. I wanted to get packing done early. “Go wake his ass up. You need help” Jim takes the box from Brooks. “I can manage” I smile, running up the stairs to grab another box. Once all the boxes are at the door I decide to wait for Daniel to wake up to bring them to the car.

Daniel got his acceptance letter to UCLA today. I applied but still haven’t heard back. “You’ll get in Kiss. You’re so smart” He rubs my arm, placing a kiss on my temple. “I don’t know” I mumble, fumbling with the letter and almost full ride scholarship to North Carolina State. UCLA has always been a dream school of mine. I always wanted to be an English teacher. Recently my idea of a major has changed. I’ve been leaning towards Veterinary Science. I applied to North Carolina because of the vet program but I don’t want to lose Daniel. “So its between UCLA and NC?” Daniel asks, grabbing the letter out of my hand. “Yeah, being a vet is really appealing to me” I frown. “So go Kiss. ~Skip to my birthday~ I open my eyes, happy to see Daniel’s face next to me, fast asleep. He looks so peaceful. I smile, grabbing my phone and heading downstairs slowly, not wanting to wake anyone. I make a quick cup of coffee, getting some bread, bacon, eggs and sausage from the kitchen. I might as well make everyone breakfast. As I place the bacon in the oven to crisp up, I hear footsteps. “Kisses? What are you doing up? I was going to make you breakfast” Tara gasps seeing me heating up the sausage in a frying pan. “Surprise?” I question, laughing. “Happy birthday sweetie” Tara laughs, pulling me into a hug. I smile, kindly accepting her embrace. “Dammit Tara, she beat us to it” Jim whines seeing me cooking. “You guys do everything for me. Now shush up and stop complaining. Breakfast will be done soon” I smile. “Happy birthday Kisses” Jim laughs, hugging me. “Kisses making breakfast? That was your job mom” Kylie huffs walking into the kitchen with Brooks causing me to laugh. “

“Kisses, happy birthday” He smiles with glossy eyes. “This can’t be real” I smile through my tears. “How’s your day so far?” He smiles. “Its good, really good” I sigh, happily. “I can’t talk for long right now but I will later” He says, a tear falling out of his eye. I want nothing more but to cry to him over everything that’s happened but decide not to. We don’t have much time and I don’t want to worry him. “How are you?” I smile, nodding. “I’m good. Yeah, I’m really glad I got to face time you today. You’re legal, time to move” He laughs. “Already have an apartment to look at” I smile, motioning for Grace to sit next to me. “That’s great. Gracie, how are you? I miss you. I miss you both” He smiles, more tears welling in his eyes. She slings her arm around my shoulder, pulling me close to her. Luke being in the army has been hard for the whole family. He was like an older brother to me. The moment him and his family left and he decided to go in the service was heart breaking.
