KAO.

“You can’t be serious. Kao you’re being ridiculous.” Saki snarled, a little too fiesty for someone I’d once bathed and clothed. She had her hands on her hips and was glaring at me with all the hate she could muster.

“Of course I’m serious, pet. I do not trust you and that fiancé of yours to be alone together.” I said, low and composed in the face of her anger as I adjusted the cuff on my suit jacket. “That is why I will be chaperoning you on this date of yours.”

“It’s a picnic date for god’s sake. Out in the open, what do you think he’s going to do? Spread me out on the grass and defile me in broad daylight?”

I snorted at the visual. I knew fully well that Asai couldn’t do that even if he wanted to. If anything, of the two of them, he was more likely to end up on his back with his legs in the air, crying out in that voice of his, begging to stop, even as his cunt clenched and milked at my cock like a vice, begging for something else entirely. I cleared my throat and pushed the thought to the back of my head so I wouldn’t pop an inappropriate boner in front of my sister.

“It doesn’t matter,” I announced, turning away from the mirror so I could properly face my sister’s ire. “I am your older brother and as such, have been assigned to protect you and your integrity. You can’t make me not to do my duty, no matter how much you glare at me.”

“But it makes no sense.” She cried, throwing her hands up in frustration. “Asai and I have been together almost six months, why are you just caring about our relationship now, and insisting to chaperone us everywhere?”

“Well,” I shrugged, hands in my pockets, “I was only recently introduced to him despite you being together that long, and I don’t trust him to be alone with you. It’s as simple as that. Besides, you both need alpha protection if you’re going out in public together.”

“What the fuck are you talking about? Asai is an alpha too.”

I snorted again. “Debatable.”

“You have to quit with that, Kao.” she sneered, squaring up to me despite being nearly three feet shorter. “Asai is smaller than most alpha, yes, but he’s recessive, and I don’t care, I love him anyway.”

I bit my tongue so I wouldn’t tell just how well her recessive alpha had taken my cock only a few days ago, how he’d moaned and unraveled beneath me like a cheap whore. But I kept my mouth shut, because she was my sister.

Before either of us could say anything else, the door to my bedroom swung open and one of the staff stepped in, bowing. “My apologies for the interupttion, Alpha, but young master Wrynn has arrived and is asking for Miss Mori.”

“Have him wait in the living area, we will join him shortly.”

The staff bowed again and left. Saki pinned me with a look that could kill before she too turned and left the room with a frustrated huff. I turned to my reflection in the mirror, smoothing my hair properly into its bun and straightening my suit before I left the room to join the waiting couple. They were in the living room, speaking to each other in low tones when I walked in.

Asai got to his feet, his eyes darting up to meet mine before swiftly darting away. I watched the tips of his ears turn pink with an amused grin even as he tried to school his features.

“Young Master Wrynn,” I called, “I’m sure Saki has informed you that I will be joining you on today’s excursion.”

“I told him it was completely unnecessary.” Saki huffed, “Tell him Asai, that we don’t need him there today, or at all.”

Asai visibly struggled to meet my gaze, adjusting his ridiculously padded jacket as he spoke. “I…I think it’s admirable that your brother cares so much for your safety that he insists on coming with.” He sent Saki a smile that was very strained.

“So you’re saying you don’t mind him coming with us?”

“No,” he shook his head, eyes darting to me and away like a skittish horse. “I don’t mind at all.”

Their date was uneventful, and halfway through the entire picnic, I found myself questioning why I’d even insisted so much on coming with them. While it was incredibly satisfying to watch Asai squirm anytime I got too close or spoke, watching him perform as the dutiful alpha fiancé to my sister had something bitter crawling down my throat, and I found myself getting angrier with each second.

The sun was going down, and I sat on a bench a few feet away from where their tent was, watching them. Saki was sketching, and Asai was clearing up their food. I caught the exact moment he picked up a smoothie cup and watched as the entire thing fell from his grip and spilled all over him, drenching his trousers and the blanket.

He shot up to his feet before Saki could say anything. I watched him say something to her, unable to hear their voices. He picked up a wad of napkins, as well as the drenched blanket and walked off in the direction of what I assumed was a public restroom. Saki stared after him, worry in her gaze, and being the proper older brother that I was, it was only expected that I get up and check up on her fiancé.

Make sure he’s okay and all that.

“Stay right there!” I called to her, and she nodded, albeit grudgingly. Without waiting for another word, I stood up from the bench, dusted my suit, and trailed after the fleeing omega. If there was a little silver of dark satisfaction curling in my chest, then that was between me and myself.

KAO.“You reek.” Eden’s voice cut through the silence of the room, sharp like the edge of a blade. I raised my head from where I was reading the plaque on a painting to pin him with an unamused stare. “Of what, dear omega?” He wrinkled his nose, raising his chin in that subtle way he did whenever he needed to make a point. “Of omega pheremones. Whatever cheap slut you took home these last three days has never heard of the word subtle, apparently.” His voice was sharp and cutting, meant to demean and bite, but I was not the object of his animosity, and we both knew that, just like how I knew there was more to this little triade than the fact that I reeked. I drew closer, running a finger down the side of his cheek, feeling smooth, alabaster skin beneath mine. Eden drew out a shuddering breath, clearly affected, but his gaze burned like steel against mine. I smirked. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d have said you were jealous.”Eden made the most offended noise I’d ever heard on a

ASAI.My phone buzzed for the fifth time in two minutes, and I stared down at it, still dripping from the shower I just took. I watched Saki's name flash three more times on the screen before it went quiet. The silence left behind felt almost suffocating, my ears rang as I stood in the quiet. I heard the door slam shut from the living room, and listened as Kao's steps got closer. It was the last day of his rut, and the waves were getting far and few between. I was beyond exhausted and so oversensitive I couldn't even stand the feeling of clothes on my skin. The bite on my neck stung like a bitch, and the thick stench of pheromones in the air was this close to making me sick. Kao stepped into the room, pausing at the sight of me standing in front of the vanity, naked and dripping water. He cocked a brow.“You’re gonna catch your death standing around like that.” He mumbled under his breath. I stayed resolutely silent as he stepped forward, slumping down to the bed next to me. “You shou

  • HEAT OF THE FALSE ALPHA    CHAPTER TWENTY.

ASAI.When I woke up again, it was dark in the hotel room. I turned my head groggily, shocked when the clock on the wall displayed nine pm. My entire body felt like a giant alpha sized boulder had ran all over it.Kao slept on the other side of the bed, naked and snoring softly. There were scratch marks on his back and I flushed when I realized they were from me.I tossed the sheets off and tried to get home. My legs buckled beneath me as soon as my feet touched the tiles and stumbled down to the ground.I winced in pain, wondering if I was supposed to crawl all the way to the bathroom. I blushed in indignation and forced myself up to my feet, dragging myself across the room. I shut the bathroom door and collapsed against it. So this was rut with an alpha. It was very intense. In the past hour I'd cum more times than should be healthy, he'd wringed me completely that I'd been dry orgasming before I'd eventually passed out. I was sore all over, and so wet between my thighs that I was

  • HEAT OF THE FALSE ALPHA    CHAPTER NINETEEN.

KAO.Asai sat on the bed, he'd discarded his suit jacket and pants, and was in only a shirt that fell down to his thighs. He was much smaller like this, stripped of all his padding and pretense. He looked like what he was, small, slim. . .an omega.“H. . .H. . .How do you want me?” He asked, kicking his lower lip nervously. My brain immediately caught on to that simple movement, and I realized I had no idea what he tasted like. I blinked at the sudden thought, and shook off the hunger in my alpha to claim and taste. It was the rut speaking, what I was about to do to this omega was not going to be sweet, or intimate. It was sex, rough and animalistic, there was no room for kissing, no matter what my alpha wanted.“Lie back.” I growled, pulling my shirt off. “On your stomach, I'm not interested in seeing your face.”He flinched slightly, a hurt look crossing his face before he replaced it with anger. “Fine.” He huffed as he climbed up the bed, turned around and buried his face into th

KAO.“Kao?” Cool hands touched my forehead, they were small and soft, an omega's hand. Asai?“Kao!” The voice was insistent, “Look at me, what's wrong?” Breathy, soft, familiar but not in the way I wanted. I blinked my eyes open slowly, staring into the chocolate brown eyes scrunched with worry. No, not Asai.“Urghhh…” I groaned as I sat up, pushing Eden off me. “What the fuck? I feel like shit.” I raised my head, squinting at him. “What happened?”“Are you hungover?” He leaned forward. The blanket shifted on his lap slightly, exposing his pale thigh. My stomach clenched. “You didn’t even drink all that much last night, and you're burning up.”“You stayed the night?” The whole thing after lunch was a blur, but if I'd been with my brothers that was no surprise, they probably would not be faring any better than I was. They had a tendency to drink until they dropped.Eden furrowed his brow, “Why wouldn't I? I'm your fiancé.”“Hilarous.” I deadpanned, already pushing to my feet. “You don

  • HEAT OF THE FALSE ALPHA    CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

ASAI.I was still shaking by the time the car pulled up to the front of the restaurant Eden had apparently picked for the family lunch. It was a classy, high-end place. The kind of ridiculously expensive place I would've been able to afford once upon a time. Thankfully, Saki and I were the first to arrive, but the thought did absolutely nothing to calm me down. As she held on to my hand and dragged me in, I followed numbly like a lamb being led to slaughter. “Eden has such great taste,” she said in awe, “Look at this place. Why didn’t we pick a fancy restaurant for our engagement dinner?” She said on a hiss, looking around. “I feel like I’m being out-omegaed.”I swallowed back a cough. If anyone was being out-omegaed here, it was me. But I said nothing, turning my attention back to the glass of water that had been dropped on the table. I was still too nauseous to pretend casual conversation, so I would just stay quiet until everyone arrived. The Mori alphas all arrived one after th
