Brandon's POV.

I couldn't remember the last time someone had irritated me as much as Aaron Vaughn.

Last night had already been bad enough. He had walked up to Ivy with that smug grin, acting like they had some kind of history when they didn’t.

They talked like they were old friends, like he knew her. He had been all over her, throwing compliments left and right, making her laugh in a way that made my stomach twist in ways I didn’t want to acknowledge.

And now, in the dining hall, he was at it again.

I watched as he pulled out her chair before she could even reach for it, acting like he was some kind of gentleman.

"Here, Ivy."

She smiled as she sat, completely oblivious to the way he looked at her, like she was something special.

"Thanks, Aaron."

I clenched my jaw.

Then, as if he hadn’t already pissed me off enough, he leaned in, eyes warm with something that made my blood boil.

"You look really pretty this morning," he added, voice smooth, too smooth.

Ivy smiled in response. "Thank y

  • HER LYCAN STEPBROTHER’S OBSESSION   137: Friend From The Past

Ivy's POV I stared at him, frozen for a second, caught completely off guard. He stood there, leaning casually against the bathroom door like we were just two old friends catching up. That smug grin stretched across his face like it had every right to be there.“Jeremy, what the hell are you doing here?” I snapped, the words coming out sharp and loud. The shock sitting in my chest twisted quickly into anger, and something sharp under my ribs that felt like panic.Instead of answering, he stepped forward, and before I could react, he wrapped his arms around me as if we were still close, like no time had passed and nothing had changed.I shoved him back with both hands, hard. He stumbled a step, looking more surprised than hurt. “Are you mad?” I spat.He laughed. Actually laughed. Then brushed invisible dust off his sleeves like I’d just mildly inconvenienced him.“God, I’m honestly in awe,” he said, still smiling. “I’ll admit, when you used to go on and on about killing the Alpha Kin

  • HER LYCAN STEPBROTHER’S OBSESSION   136: Hello Stranger

126Ivy's POV Jackie and I had picked a day to hang out a few days back, and it just so happened to be today. I’d been looking forward to it all week. After being drowned in royal routines and Luna lessons, I needed something that felt even a little normal.I had just finished clipping the last clasp on my sandals when the door burst open.I didn’t even have to turn to know who it was.In the mirror, I caught sight of him standing there like some brooding storm, arms crossed and shoulders tense.“Where do you think you’re going?” he asked.I didn’t answer right away. I took my time applying a bit of gloss, smoothing it with my finger. I checked my reflection, adjusted the straps of my dress slightly, and only then turned around to face him.“Out,” I said plainly. “I have a date.”“A date?” he repeated, stepping into the room like the word offended him. “With who?”“Jackie.”That made him stop for half a second. But then he recovered, jaw clenching. “Ivy, you can’t just go out at ran

  • HER LYCAN STEPBROTHER’S OBSESSION   135: She ruined Everything

Brandon's POV “You know,” Liam said, throwing one leg lazily over the other and kicking his boots up on the edge of the table.“I’ve never seen a groom glow before. Brides, yeah, sure. But you? You’re out here grinning at nothing all over the palace and glowing like the moon goddess came down just to sprinkle a little blessing on your forehead.”I gave him a look and popped a grape into my mouth. “Shut up.”“No, I mean it. I never thought you'd fall head over heels for Ivy.”I couldn’t help the laugh that slipped out. “You’re actually right though.” I leaned back into the couch, letting the truth settle in my chest. “If there’s anything this whole circus of a life gave me, it’s falling in love with Ivy. I didn’t even see it happening. Because if we hadn’t been forced to live under the same roof, I probably wouldn’t have looked at her twice. But now? I’m in love with her.”He grinned widely. “So you two were actually hooking up as step-siblings?”I rolled my eyes and grabbed the clos

  • HER LYCAN STEPBROTHER’S OBSESSION   134: Begging For More

Ivy's POV The little witch was already grinning at me before I’d even made it halfway across the courtyard. She didn’t say anything at first and just gave me that look. Her head tilted slightly, like someone with a secret they couldn’t wait to dangle in front of you. “So,” she said, dragging out the word with a grin that was all teeth and mischief, “how was the wedding night?”I didn’t stop walking, and just rolled my eyes. “There was no wedding night.”She snorted, more like laughed, actually. “Mmhm. Sure. The marks on your neck are telling a different story.”Automatically, my hand shot up to the side of my neck. I hated that she’d gotten a reaction out of me. I could still feel the faint soreness there, the heat rushing back into my face as I realized just how visible those bite marks probably were.“I’m going to kill him,” I muttered under my breath. The little witch just kept laughing, tossing her hair over her shoulder like she’d just won some game.We continued walking, whic

  • HER LYCAN STEPBROTHER’S OBSESSION   133: I want to feel you in my bed

133Ivy's POV I woke up feeling like I’d been hit by something massive. Every inch of my body ached like I’d run a marathon, fought a battle, and then rolled down a hill. And yet, beneath the soreness, there was this strange feeling of satisfaction. I felt better, calmer and full. The sheets were a wreck around my legs, twisted and kicked halfway off the bed. Sunlight poured in from the tall windows, stretching across the blankets in warm gold streaks. I blinked slowly, my eyelids heavy and dry, and tried to shift. The moment I moved, it all came flooding back in a dizzying rush. Every detail, every sound, every sensation. The desk against my back. The bed headboard hitting the wall. Sheets twisted beneath us. Being pressed up against the wall. Our wet bodies in the shower, rubbing against each other. My reflection in the mirror, flushed and wide-eyed while his hands were everywhere. Taking me to the heights of pleasure I could never have imagined. My voice breaking, pleading for m

  • HER LYCAN STEPBROTHER’S OBSESSION   132: Wedding Night

Ivy's POV His fingers were still inside me when I felt something shift. Not just in him, but in the air. The moonlight streamed through the tall windows, and Brandon’s eyes caught the light just right. For a moment, they weren’t just his. They were Kiel’s. Bright, glowing gold with primal hunger that made my knees weak.I wanted to speak, to tell him to slow down, to ask him what the hell was happening to me, but I couldn’t form a single word. My body was on fire, already trembling and slick from his touch. Then he growled. A low, deep rumble vibrated from his chest and it was all I needed to lose whatever was left of my control. He lifted me in one smooth motion, he carried me up and put me on the desk, his lips crashing down upon mine, making me moan out. The kiss was fierce, demanding, his tongue tangling with mine as he devoured my mouth.Whatever was arranged on the desk, scattered. A lamp nearly toppled, but I didn’t care. My hands flew to his shirt, tugging, fumbling to get i

  • HER LYCAN STEPBROTHER’S OBSESSION   131: Take it off, please

Brandon's POV The entire day had been both beautiful and excruciating. Seeing Ivy walk down the aisle, poised, graceful, and with that faraway look in her eyes, nearly dropped me. I had run through this moment in my head countless times, but nothing came close to how it actually felt to watch her stand across from me, about to become my wife. When I said those forever words,“I do,” it felt like I was finally breathing after being underwater for years. I meant every word. But then she hesitated, just a few seconds too long. For one awful second, I thought she might back out. My heart didn’t restart until she finally said it. Her voice was soft, her eyes low, and there was a weariness in her tone that stuck with me.She barely reacted to me through the entire ceremony. She just put up smiles for everyone coming to congratulate us. But I could see beneath those smiles, and that haunted me more than anything. Then Jackie arrived, visibly pregnant and glowing, and Ivy completely change

  • HER LYCAN STEPBROTHER’S OBSESSION   130: The wedding day

130Ivy's POV It was my wedding day. Those words should’ve meant something magical, something light and dizzying and beautiful. I should’ve felt those flutters people always talked about. The breathlessness, the giddy anticipation, that little tickle in the chest that said your life was about to change in the best way. But all I felt was tiredness. I felt drained, like every emotion had been wrung out of me long before I slipped into the dress. Every drumbeat, every chant that echoed through the palace walls felt distant, like they were meant for someone else entirely. Agatha held my hand as we walked down the long aisle. Her face was set in a proud, serene expression that didn’t match the chaos inside me. The same woman who had once sat beside me as I sobbed over Brandon, the same woman who had seen me break into a thousand tiny pieces, was now walking me toward him, arm in arm. Like all of this made perfect sense. Brandon stood at the end, dressed in ceremonial robes that looke

  • HER LYCAN STEPBROTHER’S OBSESSION   129: Hope isn't a four lettered word.

Brandon's POV I ran a hand through my hair, pressing my palm against my forehead for a second before dragging it back through the strands. The weight of everything was sitting squarely on my shoulders. It was like a pressure that wouldn’t ease.“I feel like a mess,” I muttered under my breath, not expecting a response.Liam didn’t waste a second to respond. “You look like a mess.”I let out something between a scoff and a tired laugh, not because it was funny, but because it was true. I didn’t have the energy to fake otherwise.I dropped into the nearest chair with a sigh, legs spreading slightly, elbows resting on my knees. I rubbed my hands together, trying to focus on the physical feeling instead of the storm inside my head.Liam leaned against the wall across from me, arms folded across his chest, one ankle casually crossed over the other. He watched me for a long moment, his expression was neutral, but I could tell he was thinking.“What exactly is bothering you, man?” he asked f
