Chapter 106 –The  Punishment?

last update Last Updated: 2025-08-26 16:23:22

Nasir's POV

The walk to Trinity's room was filled with tense silence, but my mind was anything but quiet.

She was incredible out there.

The thought kept circling through my mind, accompanied by a growing sense of something I'd never expected to feel for Trinity Ender: respect.

Real, genuine respect for her courage and strength.

Maybe the Moon Goddess hadn't made a mistake after all.

I'd spent so many years convinced that Trinity was weak, that her inability to shift made her a liability rather than an asset.

I'd watched her take abuse from her cousins and others in the pack—me included, without fighting back, had seen her retreat into herself rather than stand her ground, and I'd interpreted that as cowardice.

But today showed me something different. Today I'd seen what Trinity was really made of when her back was against the wall.

She'd faced down a rogue twice her size and won.

That wasn't a weakness. That was strength of a kind I'd never properly recognized before.

And then, bac

Trinity’s POV‘What do they mean by punishing me?’The question swirled through my mind as I stood there, Xerxes' hand still wrapped around my throat, his chest warm and solid against my back. The word 'punishment' should have scared me, should have made me want to pull away and demand they release me immediately. But it didn't.Instead, there was a flutter of excitement in my stomach that I didn't want to think about too much. I was really curious about what exactly they had in mind that made my pulse quicken and my skin feel hypersensitive to every point of contact between us.Nasir's lips curved into that infuriating smirk of his, the one that usually made me fear him but now sent heat pooling low in my belly. Liam chuckled, the sound rich and warm in the charged atmosphere of the room."I agree," they said in perfect unison, and something about the synchronized response made it clear they'd been thinking along the same lines. They moved toward me with predatory grace, their eyes

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 105 – Annoying Cousins

Trinity’s POVTheir words hit closer to home than I cared to admit. I had literally been thinking the exact same thing during the attack. Wondering if I was cursed, and if danger followed me like some sort of supernatural magnet?Hearing those words thrown in my face by my cousins, twisted into an accusation that I was somehow complicit in the violence that seemed to surround me—that was different. But what if my parents died because of me? Because it seemed like what they were hinting at. That I brought the tragedy upon them because they loved me, and I always did. I buried the thought deep in the back of my mind, where I had buried some of the memories that I was still not ready to open up and the emotions I wasn’t ready to process. Maybe that’s why I was unhealed too.I looked at them and reminded myself that they wanted to hurt me, and then saying whatever they said was them taking my deepest fears and weaponizing them against me.“What?” Selene continued, her left brow raised,

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 104 – Accusations Flying Around

Trinity’s POVWe were all gathered on the palace's main terrace, the beautiful stone balcony offering a panoramic view of the gardens where I'd nearly died less than an hour ago. The contrast between the peaceful setting and the violence that had just occurred made everything feel dreamlike and wrong. The healers were with Alpha Caelum, and he had demanded we stay with him as they did their thing. My eyes were set on the glowing blue light that came from their hands. Healing magic. The bite wound on his shoulder was deep and jagged, the kind of injury that would leave permanent scars even with supernatural healing. He kept a straight face, even though I could see the lines of pain etched around his eyes. He'd saved my life. Alpha Caelum had thrown himself between me and certain death, had taken an injury meant for me without hesitation. Thinking about me made me feel very guilty.Everyone was here now—the triplets hovering around me like protective shields, Cassian and his brothe

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 103 – Blood and Betrayal

Xerxes’ POVThe sight that greeted us as we burst into the garden clearing hit me like a physical blow to the chest. Trinity was pinned under a dead rogue; her silver dagger was buried deep in his skull and blood stained her emerald dress. My heart squeezed painfully, and Daemon stirred inside me. Was that her blood, or the rogue’s? Another massive rogue, about to attack her too.I felt the same crushing sense of loss like the one I felt when we got to the graveyard, the same desperate panic that we were too late, that our failures had cost us the one person who mattered most.My heart slammed against my ribs so hard I thought it might burst. I can't lose her. I won't lose her. Not like this.My wolf erupted to the surface with a violence I'd never experienced before, taking control so completely that I barely registered my own transformation, but I let it, because there was no time to waste. My bones cracked and reformed, muscles expanded, and suddenly I was launching myself acros

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 102 – Deadly Encounter

Trinity's POVA rush of adrenaline flooded my system. It was so intense that it felt like liquid fire in my veins. Time seemed to slow as my body moved on autopilot, muscle memory from countless self-defense lessons the Triplets had given me.Who knew I was going to need those lessons this soon??I twisted to the side just as his claws raked through the air where my throat had been a split second before. The move threw him off balance, and I seized the opportunity, bringing the handle of my dagger down hard on the left side of his skull. The impact sent vibrations up my arm, but the rogue staggered, his predatory snarl turning into a pained grunt.I can do this, I thought wildly, my heart hammering so hard I could hear it in my ears. I can actually do this. Before he could recover, I struck again, this time catching him on the right side of his head with another vicious blow from the dagger's handle. The silver-infused metal made contact with a sickening thud, and the rogue stumbled
